The problem primarily is that ttk is completely wrong. Their ideology is they want you to have time to think about what you should be doing instead of the first person who lands a blow be the one who gets the kill. Problem is that's kinda how it should be in most situations. All they've realyl accomplished is creating a situation where people camp on corners, dance side to side with hand cannons, or shotgun ape. They've managed to add a little bit of fusion rifle into the meta but as all maps are built around blind corners with no real lines of sight more than a few yards, it will never be anything but hand cannons and shotguns, with the odd fusion rifle, smg, or sniper.
Bungie doesn't really touch crucible because it's honestly not worth the effort. The people who like crucible like it as it is, and the people who don't like crucible will never like crucible enough to get good at it because the way it's played is stupid.
Didn't say the people who were good at it. Said the people who like it. On the whole most of crucible's fans like it fine as it is. They just want more maps. You have minor meta shifts but on the whole people who like crucible don't want it to change much.
Crucible just doesn't drive revenue so any new maps added are being done purely to be "nice" because it's an expense with no return. I'm sure that there are people good at it who hate it but when it comes down to it the people who play it because they "want to" are happy with things as they are and bungie doesn't have a financial reason to care..... being honest, I think at this point they would be fine going to a pve only game. It's not the primary focus of development. I would be surprised if they make any significant changes or new content at this point.
