Is it just me?.
I see posts from players complaining about the grind…which we know is real..but then, if you are playing 7, 10, 12 hours a day, surely that just makes it worse?
Not judging anyone as it’s their time to do with as they please but surely that’s not healthy particularly when you get so frustrated with the lack of RNG that goes your way?.
To me, gaming is a hobby. Couple of hours a day, perhaps three or four if I have time and perhaps part of the problem is that Bungie has made it more of a job for some people and encouraged the grind with infrequent drops of what you need to progress or craft or build.
But if you’re partially inflicting the misery on yourself I’d humbly suggest you step back, take a break, play another game or get some fresh air rather than let a video game like Destiny drag you down.
It’s really not worth your health or your sanity for a virtual reward.
Look after yourselves guardians!.

Then D2 launched and my addiction was cured! By November of 2017 I was done with it. Then I picked it up again at forsaken but at levels no where near D1. I now enjoy D2 with a much more balanced approach. I'm just glad they haven't upgraded D1 to 60fps or I would probably pick it up again!

It is not worth playing the game more than a couple hours a day because the time spent playing works against you. Over the years many gamers have reported how they stopped playing for an extended period -- anywhere from days to months -- and afterward their drops improved dramatically. Therefore, do not spend a lot of time playing every day unless you are building resources or trying to complete a difficult triumph.

The game is addictive. It’s something that isn’t addressed at all. Bungie made a post about mental health at some point which was so hypocritical and almost cynical because their entire marketing scheme is based on people getting sucked into this game to an unhealthy degree. To make it short: If you play this for 12 hours straight you have a problem.

5 通の返信if someone is playing destiny 2 for 7 hours a day, maybe they should take a break and chill out for a lil....or get a job....or take a shower.

Xen0christにより編集済み: 3/23/2022 7:23:50 AMFOMO is the root. If it didn't exist everyone would be a bit happier not playing 12 hours a day. With that said I play an hour a day and don't give a -blam!- anymore about all the lousy -blam!- they want me to chase. I'm not chasing -blam!- anymore with zero payoff. I quit the first month of shadowkeep and came back for BL only to quit the same week and now here I am again. Got all my light pretty high the first week just doing my story and trying out the Avarice and as predicted the expac aside from story is copy paste. I used to chase before they introduced living story and the official seasons with extra FOMO. That killed it for me.

7 通の返信If someone is playing for more than 4 hours a day every day on average; they could use more reality in their life and maybe a better job, or maybe a relationship. Those things exist too people.

3 通の返信Demon_XXVIIにより編集済み: 3/22/2022 6:03:22 PMThe worst part about the grind Needing to get variable (23/5etc) numbers of the same (red box) weapon to access the pattern Why? The guns are identical (and it’s not like it’s to extract the perks/stats like Div2) Being given Redbox weapons to tune that aren’t even in the crafting (Krait, Bottom Dollar, IB weapons etc) - no doubt one day they’ll be squeezed in & I’ll need to go find 5 of each again to “earn a pattern” Then looking into the crafting More grind on top for truly poor weapons Adding on top of this shite cake is the 6 elements that need extracting (low cap), ascendant alloys (that were broken & Bungie admitted to fudging the creation of crafting) There must be more tiers of grind to craft a single weapon than there are PvP maps in the game!

2 通の返信The game is only as grindy as a player makes it. I play to unwind but Im not addicted to having everything in the game, I dont let FOMO rule my gaming experience. I dont raid, I dont do trials (mainly due to the forced crossplay garbage) and I dont need to do grandmaster nightfalls. I also dont want to waste my time on lfg or discord I merely want to play the game when it suits me. So its all about not giving a damn about every piece of loot or so called god rolls or adepts I do fine with what I have access to even if most of it is common world drops.

1 返信I find the less I play the better the rewards. But if you play for x amount of hours looking for something that is there but can’t find it ,you are going to be p.issed.

1 返信What matters isn't the block of time that they grind in, but the time spent grinding overall. You can grind 10 hours in a day or 10 hours in a week for (insert goal here), but at the end of the day, it was still a 10 hour grind. If it takes 10 hours to unlock a single weapon, it'll be annoying whether you did it in the course of a day or a month.

2 通の返信I’ll counter with this. If they think the grind is bad and unrewarding when playing 6+ hours a day, how would playing much less make that better? If it’s taking 12 hours for a single red drop weapon, or ascendant alloy, how would playing less be any improvement to the grind. Really it is people that barely play that shouldn’t really complain about the grind. If you only play Wellspring once or twice a day, you cant really complain when you’re not seeing many if any red drops. It’s not a guaranteed drop.
-
3 通の返信So what is it then? Play a little bit, then get told you aren’t playing enough? Or play a lot, and be told you’re playing too much. I’m so confused.

2 通の返信I primarily see complaints from people on the F2P side, or those who feel entitled to free rewards complaining about grinding.

Game is designed as a grind. It has gotten worse when Activision left. It's not the gamer's fault, the game is already grindy. And it's mostly useless and empty grind. I walked away because of this reason, empty game. The message, if gamers feel this game is empty and not for them anymore, then it's time to walk away. STOP playing and walk away completely. It will feel really good! Trust me, it does!

1 返信Having to spend 8+ gameplay hours to get a digital reward needed to enjoy the game is the problem this season. Wellspring is in an unacceptable design for crafting. The raid is understandable because it is endgame. Wellspring is boring af repetitive bs. Psiops has multiple ways to get the things needed to craft. Why doesn't our friendly neighborhood hive ghost have umbral refining?
