There needs to be a better mod system in place to be able to help those who are returning or new to the game to get the mods they need for the current meta builds. Checking ADA everyday in hopes she might have the mod you want that never appears is not enjoyable.
Elemental Ordanace was a mode in season of the chosen. In the last year according to Desitiny insights, a site that tracks all the mods sold by Ada in the last year, it has never appeared.
All active mods should be obtainable somehow if they are currently able to be used in a build. Whether through nightfall drops, raid drops, some type of mod quest.
Mods can really impact a players build and effectiveness towards end game content and higher level of play that without, puts the player at a disadvantage.
--------------------------------------------
Let me add some clarification to this post as there seems to be some players who are making an assumption that I am implying an easier way that would involve some type of handout. Easier is not Better. That is not what I am saying. I do agree that there should be some type of grind. However, currently there is no way to progress in any of the activates in the game that would allow you to grind for these mods. Which is why I mentioned above it would be better if they were able to drop in nightfalls, raids, or through exotic mod quests. Some of the mods have only been for sale at Ada 4 days out of 365, some not at all. Buying something through a vendor is not grinding. It's just luck, which evolves not skill or work.

1 返信It's a very frustrating experience to want to do an Elemental Welll build, or a grenade build and not have the essential mods you need, and have no way to acquire them, other than to wait for Ada to randomly have them - if ever. Terrible idea, this implementation. I made a post here in the feedback forum - I hope it's received. I still don't have a few that I need. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/260666226?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1

23 通の返信Preface: I quit two weeks into the sun dial, came back one week before season of the lost started. Going to be unpopular opinion: keep playing or miss out, that’s the benefits to staying with the game and penalty of leaving. Be glad they don’t still require mod components like they did when I returned. Since WQ released I’ve been able to complete my combat style mods, and a few other categories of mods. You can’t quit and then expect the game to cater too you. It’s not fair for those who stuck it out and ran their grinds.

I disagree with the idea of a grind at all. Just put them in banshee or ada shop for cores/prisms and let people buy them. Destiny is so much more fun when you have a build that you can play with. Everyone should be able to try that. I don’t care that I “earned” them or whatever, that’s kinda bs… all I did was buy them from each seasonal vendor as they popped up. Let everyone enjoy them.

1 返信Xeroにより編集済み: 3/17/2022 10:18:11 AMBanshee has Gunsmith bounties for Enhancement Cores. Ada-1 has Synthweave bounties. Give Banshee/Ada-1/ additional bounties for some "material" and a "Mod Kiosk" to interact with and purchase them with said material. Make the cost related to how much energy the mod costs, or start there at least. We already stretch out resources to convert them into something else, so having them cost that same material, wouldn't help returning players or those with low resources for whatever reason. (Unless it's strictly Glimmer or Legendary Shards). Giving everyone access to getting all missing Mods doesn't break anything. It should encourage more build variety for returning players, as a result, I'd think. On top of the random vendor RNG, this could mitigate things for some folks, would it not? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Gimpにより編集済み: 3/17/2022 7:14:56 AMI've put 1300 hours into this game, and I've been playing non stop since the latest expansion launch.. But I'm starting to get very disheartened.. I'm missing a ton of mods which kills all the well or grenade builds that I think look cool for example. I managed to convince a friend to come back with me as well (last time we played was in Forsaken), but he's running into the same issue. Feels like we're not really welcome back.. It's very difficult to understand Bungies motivations for this kinda system.

28 通の返信A friend of mine returned for witch queen, he’s been away for some time and is missing so many mods. I’ve said this for a long time, once you complete the content and start grinding one of the things that keeps you interested are the different builds and if you can’t do this you risk the player leaving the game, destiny has the worst mod acquisition systems I’ve ever seen in a game.

Everyone saying they grinded for mods are full of -blam!-. Yall just stumbled upon them like the rest of us or bought from ada when available. You also got them from seasonal vendors if you bought that seasons pass. I wasn't about to drop 40 more bucks for some mods with just a week or 2 left in beyond light. All mods should be purchasable at all times or earnable as world drops post season. Pick a direction and go, but this random selection of -blam!- mods everyday when only a few are really needed is dumb.

We had three buddies that bought the expansion and had not played for a year and a half or so. None of them continue playing because they were so far behind and they thought they would never catch up. It really sucks.

Mods shouldn't be a product of FOMO. I know a lot of people are very in the mindset of 'I grinded, you should grind too' but waiting for Ada's lottery isn't the same as grinding. I have over a thousand hours in Destiny 2 and I don't even have all the mods I need, yet there's builds I'd love to do but can't. I'm cool with grinding for them but gatekeeping mods because 'muh grind' is going to hurt the game more than it's going to value a person's time they spent three years ago. I think a good solution is a store in which people can buy mods with a rare(ish) currency. Not something akin to ascendant shards, but maybe spend 200k glimmer or a new mod currency that drops from high-level activities. Either way, time gating mods is dumber than just giving a practical way to grind for mods IMO.

Don't you think it's funny that there are streamers that finds ways to exploit the game to infinity, getting materials, mods, weapons and more, while mere mortals just gets pittens of nothing! Like the Run N Back in PSiops (Dual / Tripple loot), Works for the streamers of course but not for the others, Not even with 100 Mobility and exotics built for speed! But then again, i'm on console and it's way more harder to cheat then on PC!

1 返信How about an Ada kiosk tab in the Eververse store that sells Mods on a daily rotation.
-
They could & should put the mods behind bounties Complete Ada & Banshee bounties Similar to ‘White Spider’ bounties Spider vendor had - “Specific Lost Sector completion bounties award mods” Pick ‘em up daily for glimmer (say 3000) 1 per day Copy protection mod list

RingersCheckmateにより編集済み: 3/16/2022 5:29:08 AMBig upvote from me here. There should be some way to earn the mods that isn't just praying to RnG every daily reset. God forbid you can't be there for the one time an important mod is sold. There should be a selection of regular armor mods and seasonal mods (separate pools, 4 regular and 4 seasomal) that rotate daily, and if they want us to "earn" them let us earn some sort of Ada - 1 rep to buy additional mods in a day.

i agree. i have come in and out of this game for awhile and am missing some rly important mods that most ppl on youtube have. i think ada1 should sell them. most for glimmer, some for glimmer and legendary shards. maybe a few with enhancement cores. ikora is already selling void 3.0 stuff for glimmer, so why not sell a bunch of old mods too?
