I’m surprised ana isn’t back on mars considering it’s back
And that she could find some very very useful teach from freehold and Hellas basin to get Rasputins exo body working or at least make the transfer of Rasputin into it easier

1 返信All depends on exactly how and why Mars is there in the first place the 2 truths and 2 lies from each 4 of the savathun memory missions are a nice dozier to ponder

It depends on -blam!- mars. Both the witness and savathun have the power to move worlds (what mastery of the taking ability let's you do, oryx never mastered it). Savathun as Osiris stated that Ana trying to bring back rasputin was a wasted effort. If the witness returned mars, I don't think Hellas Basin would've survived his editing process. Giving how rasputin tired to destroy the pyramids and may have done some damage if they didn't teleport to evade the missles. So he may have some bad feelings about warmind facilities on any of the planets he may have taken away. I'm leaning towards the idea of the witness taking and being in possession of mars. All the planets that were taken had pyramid ships on them. In the ending cutscene we clearly see mars and the other planets being observed by the witness. I'm just not sure if savathun was the one to remove mars out of the witnesses hold. Given that her ship in on the planet and the dmt ship was investigating a anomaly on mars at the time, the same ship that was in possession of the crown of sorrow, which savathun used for mind control. I'm also not sure if the witness spared any remaining hive on mars. They were loyal to Savathun as she had envoys amongst their ranks and they pleaded with savathun to return. Maybe the ones who broke off to join xivu arath after savathuns Interference were spared or left prior. And the ones loyal to Savathun went into hiding and made it to her throne world.

1 返信We'll probably end up helping her retrieve something in future seasons. Knowing Bungie they wouldn't bring back something as big as Mars for just the Witch Queen. A lot of their story threads tie into Mars. but this is just speculation.

Who says she isn’t? She sneaks off on her own all the time anyways. Iirc, the last lore entry we have is she is running psychological mind scape experiments with a Psion at the Tower. (Because of the joint OPs for season of the risen with the Cabal.)
