Read title. With the huge boost in light level this expansion, the easiest way to get up to 1550 is the legendary campaign. However, it's just too difficult. I've watched multiple videos on builds and strategies but none of them work. Every enemy is just way too strong despite me having the best guns in the game. Also, don't reply to this post saying "oh just grind bounties and pinnacles!"
1) That's boring and
2) I don't have the ability to play for 12 hours a day like some of you nutjobs.
I'll keep playing for maybe one more week but if I don't start having fun soon I'm gonna quit. I've put so much time and money into this game, but none of it is ever worth it. I don't even have Vex Mythoclast!
TLDR: Bungie needs to fix the leveling process to make it more open to casual players, instead of catering to those who commit to grinding.

I did my first play through on normal and with a little bit of lost sectors along the way, I was only about 10 levels below 1520 when I was done, so if you're only doing it for the 1520 gear, then it definitely isn't worth the stress.

Just play on normal and go level up as you always did, bro. No need to suffer with this... The Legendary mode is for people who likes some chalenge and the reward.. well, people do need a good reward after a challenge, right?

Aside from skill and exotics the 10000 hours player and the 5 hours per week player have the same advantage. You are light capped in these missions and it is up to you. If for whatever reason you are not at the mininum light requirement for the mission, go farm a little and retry. Soft cap isn't rocket science, just a bunch of moon champions.

TLDR: Bungie needs to fix the leveling process to make it more open to casual players, instead of catering to those who commit to grinding.
The legendary campaign really isn’t that difficult when playing it solo, playing in a group actually makes it significantly more difficult because the how the enemies scale up (the scaling makes dungeons a joke in comparison). So if you were playing with others before, try going solo. Your gear doesn’t matter too much for this campaign. Hell, I used Thorn as my exotic weapon when play the campaign on my Hunter just because I felt like it. What matters is the way you play, take it slow, clear ads, and play near cover. Good gear helps, but the way you play is far more important. I’m gonna be blunt, the issue isn’t coming from the difficulty of the legendary campaign, the problem is definitely coming from you, given that many people with varying levels of experience have been able to complete it. If you’re finding the campaign to be impossible, then it just isn’t for you. That’s not meant to be rude but I don’t want to sugarcoat things either. Finding the campaign to be challenging is understandable, but if you’re finding it to be impossible then you’re doing something wrong.
That has nothing to do with it, I did it on my Hunter fresh 1350 when WQ launched, my wife who's nowhere near my skill level was able to do it on her warlock. If people being able to run it makes us sweaty nutjobs then this game really isn't for you mate, you have two options, grind it out and take the time to play this at the speed you're meant to play it at, or get better at playing it. You don't even need a cohesive build, keep a weapon for single target, have something decent for ad clear, aim, use nades, use supers, use the raid banners before major encounters (They're free in the campaign btw), it's really not as big of a deal as you're making it out to be. This game couldn't be any more casual without just making raids into boss rushes that are matchmade. Be glad there's no champions, I'm honestly surprised they didn't add those.

Eh... I just ran with Le Monarque and destroyed about every enemy, decent damage regardless of distance and no need for ammo. On bosses I just used whatever rocket launcher I had equipped and it worked. But uuh
TLDR: Bungie needs to fix the leveling process to make it more open to casual players, instead of catering to those who commit to grinding. English
Ngl, Destiny is probably one of the most casual friendly shooters out there, I am a filthy MMORPG player, you give me a rotation and I am game, but for shooters, my mechanical skills are "decent"(using the term loosely here), but still bellow average on most cases, especially in PvP but I still manage to get some pretty good scores from time to time. The Campaign was just a game of "shoot-hide-shoot". Maybe considering doing the normal campaign for the story and get the gear in some other way? I mean, I had 1517 power when I got my 1520 gear from the campaign, so it isn't thaaaaat bad to grind.

Get the g-horn? That got me through all of the legendary campaign. Stasis on hunter because freezing enemies made it easier to control. I used the big slow bubble grenade so that I could not be rushed. Every enemy spawned in groups. I used the new glaive because it stuns majors/yellow bars. Then I used a hand canon with explosives because it too would knock back enemies. I also would switch out my glaive with a rapid fire scout to have range. Did I die? Yes… but I enjoyed the campaign and the challenge. Also to note for you… if you did finish the campaign on legendary… you do not have to do it on other characters. The exotic choices after completing are garbage rolls. Farming lost sectors will greatly increase your chances for the new exotics and the stat rolls will be a lot better. ^some things to think about.

4 通の返信Dude, you’re giving up to easily. I’m a casual player, and I did it with blue weapons I got along the way. It’s not that bad. Also be thankful that it doesn’t have champions.

2 通の返信The legendary campaign was a great and manageable experience solo. Half the time I was wearing blue gear.

11 通の返信I don’t like to say stuff like this but. This is a skill issue. The legendary campaign isn’t impossible it’s not even at a level where you need a build to complete it. If you can’t do it on your own then get 2 others to help you. As for Mythoclast that’s just bad luck with rng my guy.

5 通の返信I’m not gonna lie, it’s hard, but not enough to warrant this post. With a team it gets way harder with scaling. That’s been agreed on by the community. Do it solo, and it will still be hard, but easier nevertheless. I was able to do it with a causal friend, and even though it took a while, we always made steady progress

2 通の返信Don't know what to tell you. I'm a very casual soloist and haven't had any problems getting to 1550. The season will be two weeks old tomorrow. What's the rush?

2 通の返信Warlock, devour, controverse hold, osteo striga, a decent explosive head bow and an auto loading lasting impression RL and you can easy mode it. Just kite as many enemies as possible everywhere. Ghosts boss can be a pain and the part with the knights in the final mission. But yeah, you can do it no probs honestly.
