Using meta weapons - not fun.
Having to play my -blam!- off to even be close to a 1 kd - not fun.
Can’t use any weapons I like because they’re literal poop compared to guilded flawless aholes running around shotgunning everyone - not fun.
Doing good for 3/4 of a game and then getting supered 7 times in a row - not fun.
6v6... shoot at someone in front of you, get killed by someone else - not fun.
I know what some people will say.. git gud lol. I get it, I don’t like it but I get it — if I literally never stopped running, only used an OP weapon, and avoided capturing a zone or engaging someone for the good of the team I’d be gud. But I’d also be a Destiny troll because gud isn’t a word and neither is git.
I’m only saying this to continue the current angst regarding the sh!!show.
Bungie should have two days a week where no special weapons are allowed. The population of tryhards would drop to 0 on those days.
Edit: if PvP is truly just a preparation for pve, shouldn’t it be reflective of pve? I mean who uses chaperone in pve? No one. No one who’s done a grandmaster nightfall this week has used chaperone. So why is it good? I can use any one of 5 fusion rifles I have plus so much more with heavy for a nightfall but when I play pvp I have to use a main ingredient? Doesn’t make sense since main ingredient sucks on grandmaster nightfalls.

Fun is subjective. People who run off meta are no better or worse than people who run meta. You can play any weapon you want and do well if you have the skill and ability to do so. The majority of your post isn’t a problem with pvp but rather a problem with yourself. It’s also ironic you think a no special ammo mode would discourage “try hards.” As the majority of the sweat community actually prefers primary gunplay and is asking for special weapon and special ammo nerfs. Take some responsibility instead of blaming everything on the game.

1 返信Making dumb stuff like cryosthesia and iceflare bolts work is fun. Experimenting with dumb stuff in 6v6 is pretty much the crux of the crucible experience for me.

4 通の返信I'm so tired of the victim mentality bad PvP players spew out on here. Sorry mate here's the truth; almost everyone started off bad at PvP and literally all you have to do is practice. There are some cheesy loadouts sure but I promise you you're not losing because of meta spammers, you're not losing because you're not using meta weapons you're losing because you need to practice.

Just don’t play it. I stopped and am at peace. There is more to Destiny than PVP. Gambit actually may be good with all the changes. Go there. I will come back to PVP when I IB is fixed for real. The only time I may actually enjoy PVP.

2 通の返信Pvp is fun, what makes it unfun is people like you that complain and go to a toxic place. Apparently the weapons I'd use and you wouldn't makes me a piece of -blam!- and an -blam!-. But that's not even true, I use what I find fun be it meta or non meta. If your crap at the game and make the excuses of its the meta weapons then maybe you shouldn't even bother playing this game. Anyone and everyone should be allowed to use whatever they want especially if they have fun with it. Being toxic and saying anyone that uses meta is this and that ain't it and will only prove that you yourself are one of the Worst people within the community. If you don't like the meta you don't like it but judging others and calling them names is just straight up disgusting.

3 通の返信Using weapons that work - and that's not fun? Or being the victim of a meta is not fun? PvP is not really a casual mode - you go in against sweats, you'll have to play like a sweat. Otherwise, just go in, get your pinnacles done, maybe a few bounties, and be on your way before you get an aneurysm. BTW, there are people out there who got carried, or paid for their flawless weapons who wouldn't know what to do with it if it came with instructions. Weapon does not maketh man. Man, maketh weapon, or User > Weapons every day of the week. It's part of the game If this happens, then team shoot. Unless you are an absolute God in PvP, running lone wolf is to your advantage since most D2 players run as a stack - strength in numbers and all that

6 通の返信Everyone has a different idea of fun. A lot of people think having no special weapons would be boring.
