Cross play
I know everyone is hyped for wq. But cross play is still garbage. And still no acknowledgment from Bungie. I don’t know how many posts I’ve seen addressing this issue.
Do they think it’ll just go away if they ignore it? For this to be a “triple A” studio and the amount of money we all pay to play this game. These connections are unacceptable.
I almost always back out of lobbies that are predominantly Xbox players. When some crazy stuff happens and I look the person up who killed me, they’re almost always on x box.
And I’m positive by the posts that it happens that way for x box players against playstation players.
The silence on this issue is beyond insulting at this point.

1 返信Yup Bud, same for us on Xbox - dread seeing PS in lobby’s especially if the host is on the other platform. Latency/lag whatever it is makes the games frustrating.

6 通の返信I would take longer load times to take away the trash connection i experience from the other console. Like why do I pay for premium xbox live just to play against bad PlayStation servers on top of cross play not being optimized.

1 返信okay, this is what I've heard from others, so don't shoot the messenger. The problem seems to be from Xbox players, as you noted in your post. Of course, Xbox players will deny this vehemently, but while correlation is not causation, the hypothesis is the Xbox network does not work well with others, and there is some evidence to support it as my PC players have rarely, if ever had problems crossplaying with PS, but the same cannot be said for Xbox. At this point, I think it's one of those things that's out of Bungie's hands, other than the ability to turn off crossplay. At this point, I blame Microsoft

Yeah those Xbox players need to sort there wifi out! Absolute joke they still running on dial up connection or free wifi from the travel-lodge hotel over the road… Jokes aside, it is really bad lately ! I have clipped so many videos just to watch back to see if I missed something, no they are just a rubber banding/lagging take no damage and the most annoying is they don’t always have radar pings. Please fix bungie!!!

Crossplay in itself is a great idea, especially for PvE. But I think there's something wrong with the way it's connection works between platforms. You just don't see it when playing PvE content since they aren't actively engaging against you. I've noticed it myself when switching platforms. If I play on my buddy's Xbox or get on PC, I'll see people just literally stop mid fight and let me shoot them or watch them shoot waaaay off to the side like I'm 5 meters in the other direction. That's the only thing I can see to explain why I can be on playstation and empty entire magazines into players and only see 2 shots worth of damage while the rest look like they disappear

Cross play for pve is fine but anything with pvp should not be cross play. I said this before it was ever actually put in the game. My question is how even in Gambit teams who show as xbox seem to destroy and I mean destroy the us and put motes in so fast. I have been in matches where my team had a total of about 20 enemies killed and 10 motes banked and the other team showing as xbox have the priem evil and kill it. Not to mention when they invaded they would be dead on aim with no line of sight on us. I posted one I was in the other night to my clan asking how the other team even had a prime evil yet alone kill it cause they had a total of of 80 motes and my team had only banked 15 total. Considering it takes 100 to get a prime evil up. It also last less than 3 minutes. That is not the one and only time it happened but every time it has had mostly xbox showing on the other team. Cross play needs to go away.

13 通の返信Here is a thought… Instead of making pointless posts on a forum….find an actual pvp focused game and play that instead. You pvp mains keep complaining but keep playing the same “broken” game mode that you complain about every day…makes absolutely zero sense.

11 通の返信The money I'm paying is for PvE content - specifically the new campaign and the new raid. I couldn't care less about D2's PvP, and I wouldn't lose any sleep if Bungie decided to completely ignore that side of the game.

6 通の返信Naw, who cares who kills whom be because of crossplay? I get killed because I suck a PvP. What bothers me about crossplay is that I have to pay full price of a version I've already bought to play on a different platform. I buy a version for PlayStation but when I want to use Stadia, my other platform, almost nothing I've already paid for is available. That's my issue with crossplay. In the warmer months I'm likely to move a small monitor with my Stadia to my patio to play outside instead of sitting sequestered indoors. Yet very little of the content that I've already purchased is available. Paying full price for these releases for each platform seems excessive. Bungie knows who's got an account on which platform clearly because they've got crossplay. There should be some price tiers for crossplay purchases that reflect that.

They should have fixed connection issues on their side and ban console cheaters (Modding/Scripting devices is cheating). Once they work that out, then they could test Cross Play, but they don't know how to do anything good except for trailer videos. They should do animated movies and stop making games.

Then when the finally gave an official statement 2 years later, they came up with some BS story to use why they got rid of them. Good old Bungie at their best 👍

Crossplay was supposed to help make the broken PvP experience feels a little better. I guess it didn't!😆😆😆 Seems like crossplay made it worse by adding more broken issues to the already broken game! 😂😂😂 Broken!

So many issues have arisen since the introduction of Crossplay in Pvp and Bungie still have not addressed these issues or replied to the community in what measure are needed to address these issues and the game is not running how it should.

2 通の返信Ps5 main here. There does seem to be a delay or some disconnect when I’m playing against “different” consoles. Idk what it is but sometimes definitely off.
