There is no SBMM casual playlist. No, comp does not count. That is competitive where it is quite sweaty by default. Control with SBMM used to be a place where you could use whatever you want and everyone ended up with a KD around 1.0. Fun times, but the current model makes it impossible for casuals/bad pvpers to do anything like that. Give casuals a SBMM playlist like control where we can just go around and casually play at our skill level. You don't need to take away CBMM playlists, but you just need to add a playlist for casuals.

You do realize players will throw games just so they can face lower tier players right? Just look at trials as a perfect example, people literally reset their cards at 6 wins just to avoid getting put in the flawless pool. No amount of sbmm is gonna save your experience. The game already lags bad enough, focusing on connection is definitely the way to go.

Crucible has such a low population and has become so infamous, I’m not sure what can be done to save it at this point. Every week, playlist numbers drop rapidly (especially from the low to mid skill tier). Trials especially. Bungies clear disregard of it has really hurt it as a playlist. It might be too late to really try to bring people of all skill tiers to play regularly, as the damage has already been done.

illzにより編集済み: 1/24/2022 11:12:30 AMI disagree, largely. Quickplay is definitely a casual playlist. But like ANY pvp game, it takes time, a little more in d2- to become above average because you need to grind good stats and weapons. The majority of players are average and I don’t think newer players/ lesser skilled should demand a rework of the system. In the majority of games, I see brand new players/ lesser skilled and average. Its a fairly open space right now whereby everybody can improve. The connections are so bad atm, if they added a sbmm system back in then it would be literally unplayable. ‘6v6 control with sbmm used to be where you could use whatever you want and still get a 1.0’ - No. and this is where it’s wrong. I couldnt. I had to use the most meta weapons every game. I think people truly need to understand one thing: pvp is player vs player. Destiny is not a skilful sweaty pvp experience. Player vs player means that unless you put in the time to craft builds and grind weapons equal to those of your player opponents then expect to take some losses. Unless you spend time equal to your opponents learning maps, awareness and game sense then expect to be best by players who do. It is not instant gratification, it took good players a long time to become good. They had to play vs better players too. Wins and losses do not matter. What makes destiny great is all of its freedom of builds. If you add sbmm then a hard meta is carved and imposed on all, its restrictive and it removes the ability to queue with friends. When you say you want sbmm it is ONLY so you can have better games but the price is insurmountable to all other facets of the experience. 90% of lesser skilled players could improve by 90% with such simple adjustments to their play style, plenty of videos online that are great. It isn’t easy but trust me, over time and with practice anybody can become really competent and the people you think are sweaty, are not at all, they’re very average. You cant expect to go positive every game. There will always be better and worse players. To illustrate this, I have a 2+ raw kd and a 3+kda this season and I played a guy in rumble who had a 6kd with over 600 games in rumble this season. There is always somebody better and it was amazing to see how he played and it inspired me to become better. I didn’t come on here and ask to be hidden from him ya know. You are asking for a 1.0 kd every game but saying competitive playlist is intrinsically sweaty. But a 1kd is as sweaty as it gets. Sbmm is literally the sweatiest of sweat. It turns destiny into something it is not designed to be and its why it has failed every time it’s implemented. I’ve started playing rumble lately as I dislike the lobby balancing in 6v6 and 6 stacking is boring. I agree change needs to be made, but believe me when I say sbmm aint it. And this is from somebody who dislikes stomping lobbies. Just gotta honestly invest a bit of time to watching gameplay and practicing. Most players aren’t that good, I believe in ya. I have around 65,000 pvp kills alone this season, I play a lot and have a good feel for the matchmaking and the general skill of players. It seems to be placing lesser skilled players on top players teams and putting us against average/ above average players. I feel for lesser skilled and newer players atm and we do need a change, but you do not want sbmm. I promise. We greatly need better connections and a fleshed out competitive mode. We need inspiring game modes and reasons for lesser skilled and newer players to stay in quickplay so that they will naturally improve while earning worthwhile rewards. I believe they will do the above, in time. The matchmaking is the worst it’s ever been right now but hopefully witchqueen will make it more enjoyable for you to improve. If you want any tips or anything I’d be more than willing to help out. I also wana make it clear that myself and friends dislike stomping on bad players, it is boring and not fun. But what is even worse is 10 min queue times, having to use 3 out of 1000+ guns, even worse teleporting players than we all experience now and not being able to play with lesser skilled family members/ friends. I love apex legends but I’m bad at it. Whenever I play it I get wrecked. But I do not demand that they make the game easier for me. I just accept that I do not play it enough to become good and that I play destiny more. I say kudos to those that invest time to becoming good. I wouldn’t ask gm’s to become easier just because I don’t put in the time to get good pve builds and spend time getting mods and learning strategies. I have sacrificed a lot of time, thousands of hours, to destiny / crucible to become an okay player. Is the investment worth it? Probably not but it keeps me sane. Everybody has a choice into what they invest time into. I say choose crucible :p

You complain about this every day lol. If you'd take all the time you spend on whining and instead stop taking the game so serious or improving, you'd fix your own problem. You do know sbmm won't make you better, right?
-
Just play comp, I promise you'll do relatively the same, a bad player won't magically do better with sbmm lmao

Few seasons ago most playlists were SBMM and CBMM had one playlist. The CBMM playlist was a graveyard. The same thing would happen if Bungie added a casual SBMM playlist, it would make the CBMM playlists graveyards. The simple fact is that most new players, and bad players, maybe even average players, would head to the casual SBMM mode, leaving only the good/better players in CBMM. Most better players will say that this is because they want easy mode. But this is not true. These players want the chance to be useful to a team, not just a kill count for the other team. Regardless of which side you are on, one fact can not be ignored. When CBMM had only one playlist, it only had good/better players playing it. This can not be denied, or debated. Lower skilled players were in the SBMM playlists.

It’s really easy to get better you literally need to play. This is the most pathetic thing I have read. If you have given up to the point where you want a special playlist to protect you from having to get better maybe pvp isint the place for you. Even in pve thrall can 6 shot you so just to be safe maybe switch to mind craft.

There is no such thing as casual pvp. You don't casually kill the other team. There is a score, a winner and a loser. Work on not being the loser. Improvement is on you the individual.
-
Doesn't matter what they add, you're gonna find something to complain about, and you're gonna find sweats to play against.

Major Alan DUTCH Schaeferにより編集済み: 1/24/2022 5:14:18 PMSweats will always find a way to abuse the level 2 noobs as they are incapable of playing people of there own skill level for some insane reason. Were everyone has to play better skilled players apart from them🤔

Dude, you can give a mode SBMM, but you can’t control who plays it. Your post is an incoherent pipe dream

Honestly. The game shouldnt catter to bad players No game should. When you are a bad player, YOU have to improve yourself especially in one of the easiest fps out there. It doesnt take that much to beclme average on d2 (And if you are just a casual that doesnt wanna improve, why would the game cater to you ? Last time they did that the game was in the worst state ever)

Ah yes lets divide the microscopic community even more! Lets not fix the issues of unbalanced teams! Lets not fix connection issues! Lets not make the incentives to play actually worth it! Great idea ....

You don't understand how Destiny pvp works: It's peer-to-peer. So you can be the best in the world, but if you are a second behind, you don't stand a chance. So basically, it's mostly about the connection. With dedicated servers, it would be more fair for everyone.

IMO stomping isn't fun, no matter if you're on the team stomping or being stomped. The best games I've played is where it's a close call and could go either way, unfortunately my experience with PvP is there's usually 1 side stomping. From a returning player who's bad at PvP.

I've said this before, but a lot of that could be solved by keeping the casual playlists (6v6 on the weekly rotation) free from k/d etc. stat tracking. When people not only do poorly, but all their friends can see how poorly they did, they either stay away or go balls to the wall with meta weapons.
