Look, I know people have FOMO when it comes to new DLC releases. It's perfectly normal to feel like this -- we are all human-- but we as a group need to understand that vaulting content for future "expansions" cannot continue to happen. Which is why I am suggesting for people to boycott or refuse to buy the new upcoming DLC. It's not that the content is bad or rather "will be bad," but rather showcase a feeling of disappointment because of the content sacrificed.
Not only were past experiences sacrificed but only also hard earned money. How can people continue to support this trend in Destiny while knowing that it may ultimately lead to the demise of the game's framework. Again, as I alluded to, I am not against Witch Queen content but rather the sacrifices needed in order to continue to play an already expensive "free to play " MMO hybrid.
Key Idea(s): Vaulting should not be continued and Bungie should invest in better "engines" for the game. They are a multi-billion dollar company, why not treat them as such.

7 通の返信Already preordered WQ. Personally. I couldn’t care less if older content is removed. I’ve already played it and got my money’s worth.

I don’t really see myself playing forges again or me-blam!-, there were fine back when they were out but new stuff arrives every season followed by a big expansion every year. I honestly don’t care about activities being vaulted, my biggest issue from all this vaulting stuff is certain weapons going away with said content. I really miss the weapons from the black armory forges, that sword looked awesome and that pulse rifle was so lethal. Its a shame they have not been brought back and its a shame there is not any way to focus grind for them. Hopefully the crafting feature fixes that issue but until then thats honestly my only complain with all this vaulting

4 通の返信It’s amazing how boycotting posts is still active on here The whole “don’t buy” thing Hasn’t that gone on since Destiny Rise of Iron? And haven’t people continued to buy in to DLCs despite those warning us not to

2 通の返信I ussually wait till the launch day to buy the DLCs since I'm definitely not buying Witch Queen if they add sbmm.

1 返信My only issue with it is that New Light players do not get enough introductory on what the story of Destiny is, rather they’re just thrown into something and unsure of what to do. I think if they had a “catch-up” sequence or cutscene to bring some form of understanding, I do not mind content vaulting at all They could have also isolated the content as downloadable, that way if you really wanted to play it, you could simply download it back onto your own console, but I don’t think MMOs are currently capable of such (unless I’m mistaken)

5 通の返信You know what, you’re 100% correct, we should always be holding onto the past so tightly that new experiences cant happen…. You don’t own anything in destiny like it or hate it. They have been incredibly clear about the technical issues the game has when it’s very large on top of the community complaining about load times that are literally caused by it being to large so I don’t get what you want. They lose when they do what you ask and they lose when they don’t.

5 通の返信I think the only time I didn’t like the content vault was when raids went away. Patrol zones and repetitive seasonal activities though? Don’t mind too much. The only reason I’m playing them now is to try and get some decent weapons before the activities are vaulted.

1 返信Content vaulting for me as a veteran is perfectly fine. I've played the old content to death and if supporting it through new fixes is really taking time away from new content, I'd prefer it get vaulted. Content vaulting makes new players alienated, and I also think the current new light experience is still not enough. It's about my only problem with it.

1 返信I got the code in a twitter giveaway otherwise it would have been my last year in this franchise, but now with wow on gamepass next year plus call of duty, diablo 4.... all on game pass I don't really care much about this game anymore, I'll enjoy it this year as I said for the code giveaway and that's it.

1 返信Already bought it. I’m at the point where witch queen is make or break for me with the game. But I know i want to play WQ either way. If it turns out crap or doesn’t give me the feeling of good -blam!- to come in done. I won’t make a forum post about it but I’ll be done lol. There’s too many great games out there (and a lot of them are a fraction of the cost of destiny and a lot are free) to keep getting fooled by Bungie. But maybe they will finally prove me wrong with a dlc and hook me in again. I doubt it but I’ll be happy to be proven wrong.

It comes down to either sacrificing on look quality or useless loot.. sorry I'm in for the old loot abd content bring vaulted if it keeps the game running smooth.. changing the "engine" as you put it might offer some but until old gens are left behind just like in d1 the old ones can't handle the content so the new ones suffer

1 返信Literally couldn't care less about the Shore being vaulted, Raids and Dungeons are still gonna be here, so... literally not losing anything important, just a useless location that was used for a single thing, the Spider.
