I agree I’m missing it, but it always tilted me seeing the bot at the bottom, who didn’t cap, didn’t kill anything my and was largely a free kill for the whole enemy team get a good drop

I honestly don’t, it is really unnecessary and a waste of time. I’d rather get in the next match faster than see the randoms get some blue armor.

I was talking to my friends -blam!- started playing again about the good ol days of d1. There was just a feel to it, an atmosphere that cant ever be replicated. Despite all the tough times d1 went through I still look back on all of it fondly

I agree. Remember when you would see someone get gally even though they were bottom of pvp and it would just make me scream inside

Me too actually, it was a nice Bungie esc social UI element. Halo Reach and 3 had similar player interaction stuff like seeing other players armors by scrolling over them in Reach and seeing all the spots player were playing light up on a map in 3. Wish they’d do more of these little touches, it’s part of why I always loved Bungie’s game design.

Totally agree. D1 was by the far the better game, even with its flaws and tough RNG and all.... I loved that after any activity, you or someone might get an exotic, just about any exotic (other than crucible quests ones) - and it was generally on the screen for all to see. It was just a more pure “fun” game. Now there are a bunch of different activities, but they don’t even seem very fun to be honest. The RNG reward system was just more fun than the quest related or activity specific crap they came up with - I don’t care if it’s technically more “fair” or sound, that doesn’t make it fun imo. Anyone can just do the annoying -blam!- activity to get ghorn now, and it does just feel annoying and tedious. D1 was so fun.
