For everyone saying "it's the most balanced it has ever been", you're flat-out wrong. Here is a quote from one of the first weekly updates after D1 launched. "Balance is not about everyone being equal, but rather that not everybody is doing the exact same thing. If everyone is doing the same exact thing, something is not balanced. Everybody is trying to pursue the same unbalanced thing." Whether or not you agree with it, that is the supposed design philosophy of the game. The current state of Crucible is not balanced according to it. Everyone is using Hand Cannons, Shotguns and movement Exotics, which means there is an imbalance somewhere. Seeing as that has been the case for as long as Shotguns have been a special weapon, the sandbox has never really been balanced.
