Can hunters have better or maybe easier builds for end game content? Warlocks and titans are always preferred when it comes to GM or master VOG but when a hunter is chosen people will question or given a limit if the player keeps dying and they’re given an option and that is switch or get out. Now I understand that they need to keep up on survival but it’s somewhat harder to do when we only have certain exotics to help. Another is when a hunter has game breaking its quickly nerf due to crucible and it ruins hunters in pve. But titans are now top game breaking with the solar melee build. When 1000 cuts was broken it was nerf to useless now. Our golden gun feels like it tickles the boss compared to titans.
I know this is probably gonna go no where but I want hunters to have fun in end game content for pve. Tired how hunters can be only good in PvP.

Played warlock for years in D1, then all 3. I only play Hunter in D2. If I’m not wanted I simply solo the activity. No offense to others but D1 “Gally or out” when I didn’t have one but had 50 completions in VOG and in Crota and was teaching others showed me the value of value. I know I don’t “need” any tool or character, I “need” strategy and implementation. As a primary solo player, it is a great feeling knowing I don’t have to tolerate anyone else and their causticity during gaming. Haven’t raided in years and haven’t missed anything. I don’t suffer from FOMO. And, I have no patience for other’s BS attitudes… It’s a video game. I play for fun and entertainment. If I’m not wanted I lose nothing… The only thing real in any video game is the time you spend playing. Something not well known…

Hunters aren't "weak" in PvE, it's just that there are alternatives. Shadowshot is pretty great, but Divinity exists, and they don't stack. Bottom tree Gunsli-blam!-'s Golden Gun with Celestial Nighthawk is good, but Titans and Warlocks both get some good dps on their own. At this point the only two things I Hunters being used for are invisibility on Nightstalker (mostly for Nightfalls) and Revenant for when teammates have on Focusing Lens.

Catequilにより編集済み: 1/10/2022 7:23:54 PMIn practically every raid or GM, players ask for 1 titan, 1 warlock. Generally, hunters are not required. And that is because of 2 issues: - In the past seasons, there have been very important debuff mods in the form of particle deconstruction and co. Even without them, there is Divinity. All of these do not stack with tether, removing the need for the damage increase from tether. Hunters do not have any other damage providing abilities. - Hunters have no super that provides survivability. Wellock and bubble/ursa titan have been the go-to if people need more survivability. Hunters do not provide any survivability other than invis, which is situational at best, and not something to rely on. To be clear, I do not think Hunters are particularly weaker or anything. I just think they are missing the flexibility the other classes have, as they only have CC (stasis) and damage, instead of CC, damage and support. Solution: Damage: Make tether stack on top of other debuffs, or decrease the amount of debuffs that are around in general, or make tether cause crits no matter where you shoot. Survivability: Give hunters the ability to spread team-wide invisibility more easily, or have them spread damage resistance to teammates in some form.

2 通の返信Theres some excellent endgame Hunter builds out there. You might need to just start mixing things up a bit and start trying out new stuff. Are the builds limited, or is your imagination?

5 通の返信If you honestly think hunters are bad at end game content, that just means you don’t know how to use hunters. Switch to Titan or warlock if you think it’s so much easier.

1 返信All I use is a hunter, my other classes have been collecting dust for three yrs. I personally have no prob using a hunter in end game pve. I agree the supers could use some work but I’ve never found anything so difficult that I said screw it I’m grabbing my warlock or Titan. I’ve learned not to bother coming on here and ask for a hunter change, I just adapt to what ever dumb -blam!- changes they make and move on lol

As a hunter main I will need disagree with buffs for them.. but will disagree when it comes to there end gane viability.. I way rather run hunter in dungeons and raids and pvp.. gms certain ones hunters struggle but most of the time you just need to change your roll. Utilize invis get obj complete.. res the titans and warlocks when they inevitably go down leaving you as last guardian standing lol

ThatGuyにより編集済み: 1/10/2022 3:12:19 PMThis is just from my experience but I find Warlock best suited for end game content followed by Hunters. Considering that 80ish% of my play time is on my Warlock this my be a little biased, but I'd much rather run a GM or similar with a stasis/void Hunter. Their solar tree needs some love in end game but I've been seeing the arc sub classes more and more. I feel like Titans only have 2 builds in Master content and above right now, Bubble/Ursa and Sunspots. If a titan isn't running one of those two I probably don't want them on my team. Edit; Shout to Cuirass of the Falling Star for DPS.

I agree! I'm a raid sherpa on all three platforms, been playing since D1, have cleared over 4000 raids, and have been a first-time raid sherpa for over 2000 Guardians. The last time I had to ask, "do we have a hunter on the team?" was for the Crota's End raid in D1. I have switched my main from Titan to Warlock back to Titan depending on the current end-game raid, and I *like* switching it up, and learning new skills. D2 has not given me a reason to rely on the hunter class for PvE. I've taken to giving myself "Hunter Homework" so I can keep in shape (ran all GMs as a Hunter at least once last season, Master Lost Sectors, etc.) and I have hunter mains give me suggestions on stream for load outs and supers just for fun in raids. I know there are plenty of super-star, end-game hunters who do amazing things, (I listen to two of them every day and I admire what they can do) but I am hopeful that the upcoming Void subclass re-work in WQ will breathe new life into Hunters. I know Bungie values equity and everyone sharing and playing nice in the sandbox, so here's hoping the next raid makes me say, "we need a Titan, a Warlock, and a Hunter..."

1 返信Illuminaryにより編集済み: 1/9/2022 11:03:44 PMHunters are absolutely fine and if you can't maximize their spec it's on you. I'd rather play bottom goldie celestial over thundercrash any day. Thundercrash is high risk high reward but with constant knock em down and practice makes perfect uptime getting more supers that do a tiny bit less damage is a positive overall. With Eyasluna in the mix there are more options for a shatter build; what titans can do with diamond lance can be done with hunter to some degree. Except, behemoth super sucks donkey butt at least squall provides area control and a little debuff. Tether is only useless against bosses if the team is running fusions. With Gally now you don't always need to run fusions for every single thing. Tether will be right back where it belongs next season. Going invis with omni provides damage resistance to the team, so it's not only for when your mates die. Arc, well, yea, give arc a ranged super at least but that's the only subclass that needs help.

25 通の返信Hunter are good ...you the 1 lacking knowledge on how to use them properly Also sit down...warlock and titan been confined for their well and bubbles for years....they finally het something else and now your class is bad....bruh

3 通の返信Hunters have Celestial GG, Tether, Omni Tether, and Stasis. Those are the meta builds for GMs specifically, Hunters have a place for PvE and I don’t get the hate on them. 3 hunters doing a GM though can be tough…

10 通の返信Kiro - 13により編集済み: 1/9/2022 10:21:33 PM~Shadow tree has no puprose in this season because it does not stack with particle deconstruction and the invis or damage resist(via exotic) so many weekend warriors and casuals rock is hot trash that is only useful for when some one messes up OR solo content. If no one died in your gm in a bad spot whats the point of invis, none its a build for failure. ~Golden gun lost its value when titans got falling star, so yea.... ~Arc is a joke, moving on. ~Stasis is solid, good CC high utility.

6 通の返信Smoughにより編集済み: 1/9/2022 1:02:10 PMMy friend who only really played hunter since d1 recently switched to titan because of this exact issue. Currently the only things hunters can really contribute in high end content is invis and stasis, but every class has stasis and warlock does it better, so invis is the only thing exclusive to hunter that really helps. I never play hunter, so I can’t really say way does and doesn’t need buffing for pve, but they absolutely need one.
