You have 140 hand cannons battling out scouts and pulse rifles at range. I actually can't believe how pathetic the state of the game is right now.

I have played this game a long time and this is as bad as I have ever seen it.

Here’s the thing, most maps don’t really have scout rifle lane ranges. At least not as far as 150rpm scouts are concerned. Maps are laid out in a way that you’re more likely to be in mid range engagements where 140 hand cannons are lethal. So 260 scouts don’t have much more range than some 140 hand cannons, but for that hand cannon you need a godly max range role. And the 260’s damage fall off isn’t as steep. If you’re losing to a 140 at true scout rifle ranges, out at 50 meters, you’re missing your shots. Because a 150 scout should be getting crisp three taps and the hand cannon suffering from ghost bullets. But there are too few viable lanes of 40+ meters in crucible maps. If this game had maps like Blood Gulch, people would switch off their hand cannons for scout rifles.

47 通の返信The biggest problem with hand cannons is their aim assist. They are just quite frankly too easy to use. Nothing else is as consistent n cheesy as them.

Bungie is approaching Games Workshop levels of incompetence for balance - yes, it's that bad. Bungie does not understand how to make real course corrections. BUNGIE: Please hire a couple of Master Statistical Engineers to take a look at your data and teach you how to set up matchmaking, class balance, armor balance and weapon balance.

17 通の返信PvP is pay to win now so, if you want to use stasis in PvP you gotta pay up money and not having stasis puts you at a disadvantage. Bungie is money hungry

I'm personally tired and over the HC/shogun meta we have been in for the last 7 years. The lobby balancing is atrocious. When I look at destiny 2 tracker and I see the percentage of the chance to win rate it's always 85 to 95 percent in favor of one of the teams. I've never seen anything like this in any video game ever. Not as bad as this. I don't understand it. I was loading up in a game and there was a 4 stack flawless team and 2 solo flawless players. Then 5 solo basically new players and me. The 2 solo flawless went to the 4 stack. We got mercies of course and when I go look at D2 tracker it says they had a 99% chance of winning the match. How the -blam!- is this proper matchmaking?

look i agree that class balance could be better but i think warlock is fine and just needs basic QOL changes and minor buffs like axion bolts on void walker is great top tree dawnblade hell even bottom tree is really good hunter is well hunter titan could use a quite a few QOL changes and buffs aswell and yeah matchmaking sucks because not alot of just normal players playing it's mainly destiny 2 pvp addict's however what handcannon is out dueling scouts at scout range i mean 1 foot outside of a hand cannon's range your hitting like 55 to the head and aim assist is lowered and scouts in pvp don't seem to have damage falloff but that could just be every map is way too small and scouts like the messe-blam!- if you hits your shots will always outduel a handcannon so yeah also the think the reason people use handcannons so much is they are easy to use the air while shooting pulses in air good luck auto rifle's nah scout's hahahahaha yeah i just think hand cannons work the best with movement and players like moving

I have friends -blam!- to play because of previous Sunsetting, Lobby Balance/Network Issues, new light story progression being fragmented, boring subclasses, Artifact Mods every season, etc... I agree which is why I haven't logged on in a while and haven't bought Witch Queen for PS5 yet. Too busy playing other stuff. That new trailer looked kinda meh tbh. All good tho, play other stuff. Edit: Wow. "-blam!-" is "Blam'd" out... SMH.

However, two major reasons why PvP is trash in Destiny and has always been trash is because there are no true counters to anything (no “rock, paper, scissors”-like abilities that hard counter others while making you vulnerable to others) and maps are designed to favor Hand Canons, shotguns, and the quick-scoping garbage that has been around since CoD popularized that nonsense and essentially made it the standard through absurdly fast ADS, stickiness, and map design.

"Balance is not about everyone being equal, but rather that not everybody is doing the exact same thing. If everyone is doing the same exact thing, something is not balanced. Everybody is trying to pursue the same unbalanced thing." Whether or not you agree with it, that is the supposed design philosophy of the game. The current state of Crucible is not balanced according to it. Everyone is using Hand Cannons, Shotguns and movement Exotics, which means there is an imbalance somewhere. Seeing as that has been the case for as long as Shotguns have been a special weapon, the sandbox has never really been balanced.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Everything you said is totally true. I have said it many times and many ways to bungie and they honestly think they are doing wonderful. I find it hard to believe they have a clue about crucible since they only want to talk about it when they have content to sell. Personally, I wish they would sell this game to someone that cared about pvp. This game could be world class and attract some great players back if they actually had a clue. The game goes from year to year with everyone saying this new content better be good and it never lives up to the hype they build up to it. The fact that we have gone so long without any updates to crucible maps and state of crucible is so bad I don't even like playing the game.

No hand cannons aren't touching scouts at range, they push into pulse range slightly but that's to be expected since pulses and cannons are supposed to be good at similar ranges

As an average player, I think you're conflating your issue with a balance issue, but you're also not completely wrong. 1. A god-roll 140 hc has the highest ceiling at top tier gameplay because of its inherent advantages of chunk damage/peek shooting and in-air accuracy with Icarus. It's why 120s are still very viable, even with a relatively slow TTK. Most top players will more often than not choose a 140 when it really matters (not that anything in Destiny "really matters"). 2. However you're not dying because the top players can eek out a slightly higher ceiling with a god roll 140. You're dying because the difference between the top 20%, top 5%, the top 1% and the top 0.1% are equally large in Destiny. The sandbox is huge with class intricacies, incredible movement, a huge radar, variety of weapons, and so on. Getting to the next tier vaults you to a level where you can farm the previous tier in a way I never experienced in Halo. You can absolutely do incredibly well with a huge variety of weapons (I just passed 20K crucible kills on my high impact pulse) and not just hand cannons which is why many people, myself included, feel the weapon sandbox is diverse and balanced outside of a couple outliers that could be cooled off a bit (fusions, linear fusions, chappy). TL;DR - a god roll 140 hc is the best, but your problem literally is git gud.

1 返信Its not handcannons that are the problem, its the maps What's the biggest map we got in PVP right now? is it mid-town? If you want to know what the actual problem is it's that the maps are to CQC without enough space for ranged weapons to be viable. even then there are people who -blam!- on people for lane with a scout or a pulse. Hand cannons have always been good, they got the highest aim assist in the game out of any weapon, some have some of the best rolls for PVP, Ace of spades, Thorn, Last word. all of these are easy to get your hands on, easy to get used to and can take you a long way according to the PVP focused players in my clan. It's just they are the "most viable" option right now, all Bungie needs to do is mix up the maps. But that's just my two cents.

1 返信They should bring back Combined Arms playlist with the larger maps for Scout and Snipers to shine. The one on Mars with the vehicles was really fun imo.
