Can we please get another meta that’s not handcannon and shotgun/ sniper it’s so fing boring for the third year in a row!! Also don’t force cross play when cross play servers and connection are bunds let us turn it off and play trials

There is nothing about hand cannons right now that makes them op. They are used a lot and will continue to be used a lot for reasons outside of how good they are. Drewski addresses this in his most recent video. If cross play was not required for trials, you would more than double the matchmaking pools.

They will never, ever go away. The only way you'll see shotguns go anywhere is if Bungie finally address special ammo scavenger perks, but they won't because they are afraid of the backlash they're already getting for slowing the game down from 11 to 9.

GLs are too but require a specific play style.

5 通の返信I hate to say it, but HC and shotguns are very easy to counter. Crossplay is a subjective issue - in spite of PC's advantages, my stats haven't varied much. Outside of taking a few more matches to get to the lighthouse, I like playing with a larger diversity of players

3 通の返信you think this is bad? wait for the 150 scout meta. its coming, and no one will know what hit em. >long range >three tap, just like 120/140 HCs >fires faster than the other three taps. >less recoil, bloom hits less >hipfire grip + freehand grip = legendary DMT everyone just calls me crazy!

5 通の返信Lots of good primaries out there. Peeps just enjoy handcannons and who can blame them. Everyone who wants to be competitive will have a 1 shot kill weapon most of the time(shotgun, sniper, fusion). It that simple. They already nerfed shotguns and snipers and buffed/nerfed fusions. The balance is pretty good. It’s just that these weapons will always be used because of their ttk potential.

3 通の返信Everyone hated the auto rifle meta, idk why since it was actually pretty fun for me. I guess people just want to slide and shoot all day and run in straight lines with shotguns. The only thing I hated about the AR meta was the ttk at the time but bungie fixed it. Hand cannons were actually balanced during the auto rifle meta and for some weird reason decided to buff their range. What would the meta look like if hand cannons never got that range buff?

4 通の返信Jesus. You people. A public service announcement. OTHER PRIMARIES ARE MORE THAN VIABLE! When you play to your strengths, plenty of weapons are competitive or exceed the capability of currently popular HCs. Stop using this as excuse for why you fail or are bored. This isn't the Hard light/Gnawing meta. Now THAT was boring. You take up positions where it's easy to kill you with HC/shotgun. So you die to HC/shotgun. The most popular way to play cause people have fun with it. Even with all the nerfs adding RNG and reduced range. If you people figure out the maps and how to play the game, you might have some fun.

4 通の返信I’m tired of people complaining that auto’s aren’t good. They are still a amazing choice with some of the faster ttks in the game. The only problem with auto is that they’re positioning guns. They are most effective when catching people not playing their cover correctly or playing too greedy, this becomes more difficult to take advantage of against really good players. The good news is that most people who play pvp in this game suck so it is hardly a problem unless you in the top 3%. Hand cannons are obviously good but are definitely not required to the perform well in the crucible.

1 返信3 years? think you’re forgetting about D1 so more like 6+, even though I think hcs and shottys are way more balanced now more than they’ve ever been apart from some outliers like Chaperone. Crucible is just so stale right now and has been for some time, no new maps in what 600+ days is a bit of a joke tbh. I’d rather play Vostok a hundred times in a row than play twilight gap or convergence ever again.

Totally agree,cross play should be optional not mandatory,the time to kill is a little too quick in my opinion, the hit register is overly tuned and by the time most people know they are being hit they don't have time to react,these hand cannons kill too quick because of they're high impact and perks that can roll on them.and shotguns....don't get me started,they are the dumbest thing in the game in my opinion,the mobility and one shot capability is ridiculous in my opinion.

6 通の返信Repost from another thread (sorry...) :- You know what's nuts about D2 Crucible as well? The the increased respawn experiment Bungie decided to implement. [b]Instead of nerfing/buffing Bungie just might, debuff a players' stats[/b]. Now imagine no nerfs to any weapon, but instead a -50 stat penalty to SGs, Fusions and HCs. Or a -50 Resilience Stat to Snipers, Scouts and Bows.... That would be awesome to some but infuriating to many! Would it actually balance the game? I don't even think Bungie know the answer to that! My point is that if something like the respawn timer can happen, perhaps in later updates we will get penalties to movement or discipline (intellect is already FUBAR) for equipping weapon types! This sounds crazy but, in this nutcase of a season anything bankers can happen.
