Best so far Bungie, keep it that way.
As an average player I had the best trials experience this weekend playing solo with randoms
Almost every match felt sweaty and some games I pulled of a good amount of kills other games I was lacking, but hey...thats part of the game and I am not a god pvp player.
Freelance is the way2go to solve the unbalanced matches against stacked teams
It solves the bad ongoing paid carries done by stacked teams and cheaters, which ruins the trials experience for the majority of the players.
It solves the issue where trials = twitch streamers only experience
Freelance mode is EXCELLENT!

7 通の返信Wesにより編集済み: 1/5/2022 12:30:26 AMI strongly disagree. Ya know what I experienced in Freelance the first time I tried it? Quitters. AFK teammates. Sabatoging teammates. A constant requirement for me to do double carries. I played maybe 20 games and only ONE didn't fit into one of those categories, and that one was still a 5-0 stomp. And Bungie even released stats on it and said 51% of Freelance matches end in 5-1 or 5-0, pretty much calling the "It's so much better" feedback a placebo effect without actually saying it, considering its blowouts rates were very similar to the normal playlist. From my experience, Freelance needs a lot of work if it is going to stay, and even then I'd prefer Bungie to come up with matchmaking solutions that make it unnecessary.

76 通の返信Stop playing endgame pvp content by yourself. Stop expecting good players to carry you. Its not fair to people who can play to have 2 sandbags pulling down their experience. Yeah, sure, for a few minutes the sandbags can fly, but there's no effort involved getting to the higher place. Freelance is a drug to get you addicted to endgame level content by teasing you with what it could be like if you actually worked hard, got better at it, and played trials on a regular basis. I am by no means a hardcore trials player, and even I can see this as just another easy button crutch. Nobody wants to actually earn anything anymore, and just expects free handouts. In normal trials - Yeah, you'll lose, yes, you'll whine about it, but pick it up, dust it off, learn from it, and try again. Stop taking the easiest path all the time and expecting to grow without effort.

21 通の返信hate n payneにより編集済み: 1/2/2022 7:59:56 PMExactly how it should be. Players should be matching players of similar structure in terms of teams first and as the card continues, it gets progressively harder based off similar cards, stats and team structure. I feel like making the maps and modes randomized is a good solution too. One card: Cauldron and Survival Next card: Pacifica with Capture The Point. Or First card: Cauldron and Survival Next card: Cauldron and Capture The Point However players will definitely need to see this information before the match starts.

2 通の返信A_moにより編集済み: 1/2/2022 7:04:59 AMThis week definitely turned out to be a very satisfying week for me as well. I got two adept igneous hammers and a regular igneous hammer and sayurh... (however you spell it-as) and a golf ball and did my confidence passage finally. Normally I would probably play tomorrow at least before the flawless pool started and a little in the flawless pool, but I don't care what people say about freelance being easier I'm going to let my stats stay like what they look like so I can stare at them all week while they look like that for once in my freaking life! Also, I still might play and screw my stats up. But that's how I'm feelin right now. Wooooo!

12 通の返信No, freelance was a terrible idea and it never should have been implemented. It’s for those who don’t actually want to win at Trials and most people are only in it for the weekly participation trophy. From personal experience, i don’t have the patience to be constantly carrying trashnoobs who can’t even get a single kill.

Ehhhhhhhh Not really. There's still the issue of solo gods who are resetting just to sweep 0-win players. I won a game, got crushed on card 2. Reset because trying for flawless. Never won again after another 5 games, repeatedly matched against at least one previous solo player who was flawlessly destroying my team (In similar news, PEREGRINE GREEEEAAAAAAAVVVES live yet again). They'd kick my teeth out my bum, win the game, then I'd match them again so obviously, they were always resetting. A performance-based matchup layer returning could help immensely instead of Flawless separation but it also can't be as strict as it was last time. Much like my rear-end after facing Mr Greaves, it needs to be looser for matchmaking.

2 通の返信Don’t think I could disagree more. I’ve had games where my teammates had one kill between them. I think I’ve been stomped in the last half dozen or so games. 5-0 pretty much each time.

3 通の返信I actually enjoyed my stroll with randoms. I go in with no expectations and come out a rich man.
