I’m not against exotics feeling like exotics, but the chaperone does it for no reason. It’s a slug with range going beyond what’s listed and has too high a value of aim assist. You don’t even have to be on the head completely for a precision kill. That’s where I think a slug shotgun shouldn’t behave as a sniper with a red dot
Edit: I’m willing to elaborate on comparisons or give further insight in replies. I’m not making this to just trash on it, I do think it needs some sort of balance or change

why? As I've said before, Chaperone doesn't have a default mode that turns every crucible player into God tier. If people worked hard to learn to be accurate with a slug, why not reward them? Sticky? Sniper? Yeah, no. You know what's actually easy mode, even without AA? Fusions.

What do you mean everyone uses it? That just means everyone’s skilled. Duh. And also, that isn’t even true. Let me tell you right now, I’m the only guy in the playerbase who mains chappy with a handcannon on my hunter with an all white shader on and a 4 letter gamertag. I’M UNIQUE.

1 返信We should have a mod that reduces incoming fire from shotguns. We have a mod for reducing sniper damage and melee kills in PvP. Maybe this would help the amount of people running around with a one shot weapon.

7 通の返信it has the same issue hand cannons have: too much range and aim assist. Tone those two down for hc's and chappy and watch pvp fall into a more balanced place.

7 通の返信No, it doesn't. It's a precision slug, it's supposed to work like that, that's what makes it exotic. Take that out and you may as well delete the weapon from the game.

2 通の返信It does need a small range nerf. But honestly people will always find something to cry about. After it gets a nerf it'll never be enough until it's garbage, and then people will move onto the next thing that 'needs' a nerf.

Chappy seems like an easy fix: reduce its AA, reticle friction, and range. Lorentz is not so easy though this is because it uses a primary weapons sights so its not that the AA is very high which has been nerfed already. Its the type of sight its self has a larger cone radius because it uses a primary weapons sight. The correct answer if bungie were to listen to their angles would be to release a patch that entirely changes lorentz's sight, however this would have a fairly hefty fallacy cost in comparison to just tweaking/adjusting its stats. If your wondering what I mean by a primary weapons aa cone, you know LW if on the sticks or DMT on k&m how shooting at their chest or tragically wiffing over their head registers as a crit? That is what it means by a primary weapon reticle.
