I love Destiny, that's not the problem.
The problem is, Bungie.
Bungie monitizes the piss out of everything these days, not good business sense or practice, therefore, I don't buy it.

I don’t see the problem with their costs. It’s $100 for a whole years worth of content, if you get the deluxe edition. Personally, I could go through at least 2 or 3 games in a year, and that’s a low estimate. That’s already around $180. Wayyy more than if I buy the deluxe edition. Really, $100 a pretty reasonable price for one year’s worth of content.

Monetisation of product it a very tricky line to walk. A thousand permutations of every item have been tried before they are sold on to players. A bad balance can break the economy, break any sense of competition or even break the game. It is a LOT harder than people think it is to get it right. Every game of this type makes mistakes. For most folks outside of hardcore players, Bungie do a decent job of it.

It's crazy how the DLC's and bonus content in D1 centered around locations, missions, raids, entertainment, etc. Now the focal point is cosmetics, expanding an already bloated Eververse, perpetually reusing the same locations and lost sectors, constant planet hopping to inflate play time, etc.
