I want to encourage everyone to check out this video to shed some light on how greedy and ridiculous the Destiny 2 sales model is.
It's near impossible to recommend this game to any new player because of how much it costs to be able to play all content with a current player.
(Not to mention they have gutted tons of seasons, raids, items, and even the entire base game storyline entirely out of the game.)
It’s a live service game…

Say what you want about Destiny and Warframe, I love both games very much, but Warframe, aside from grinding for new frames and etc…you’re literally playing the same handful of mission on the same handful of maps. It’s an amazing game in its own way, and so is Destiny. They both get old after a while for me, which is why I switch between games often. But don’t go out here acting like Warframe is the holy grail of games. It is far from it, just like Destiny. I do t care what anyone says. Destiny’s story is way more engaging and entertaining than Warframes story.

Warframe revolves around collecting warframe and weapons, is there tons of it to get? Yes, but after you get them what do you do? Absolutelly nothing, and thats coming from someone who has played it for a extensive ammount of time, d2 offers way more replayability
Warframe is very, very heavily monetized and the game is way lower quality lmao.
Do you read other replies, or just paste an opinion? Just asking as my last one addressed that. As for monetization, I have played for over 6 years, and only bought Plat for cosmetics I like. I trade for everything else. A friend that's played with since day 1 has spent at most $60 in that time. Earned what he wanted. So sure, it's there, but in no way forced to do anything. Unlike D2. Plus if you buy anything, zero fear of them ripping it away from you in a year or two.

The only thing “forced” in Destiny 2 is for content drops. Y’know, the thing that every game in existence Damn near charges you for. And Destiny isn’t hiding quality of life behind money, either. Unlike Warframe.

Cause I see a game that's maybe 30% of what it was for free with only paid expansions adding any content. Thus pay to play. LOL!!! What quality? The almost copy/paste loot? The failing pvp? The near non existent story? No thanks. Warframe you get what you expect and are happy with it exceeding it. D2 is just one disappointment after another...
So is Warframe, and they don't go ripping content out from under players. Plus it's a true FtP game. Unlike D2's alleged "free."
Warframe is also much lower quality and makes money of off selling more than just cosmetics.

That just further proves my point. A game much older, has more content, better economy for both players and income, has access to practically everything from launch, and is arguably and opinionated more reliable in replayability. This from a significantly smaller company. Just saying. Live service does not equal the shady and poor quality design of D2, on top of the falsely advertised FtP.

Warframe makes a lot of money off of selling gameplay impacting micro transactions. I’ll pass on Destiny picking up that kind of monetization

I can make a new acc on D2 and blow through what there is, without paying a dime, in maybe a few days. Pair that with 60% of the playerbase using the near copy/paste loadouts in D2 due to the lack of variety, and the obvious heavy bias to paid content, and you find WF is a much more player friendly game. As said below, that's on you if you buy gear. It's easy to earn, easy to trade, and/or easy to pass on. Plus D2 already did with locking Ghorn behind a drastically inflated paywall. They knew damn well what they were doing on that one.

Procedurally generates missions are something that I hope never comes to Destiny. The grinding also makes Destiny look significantly more generous. Oh, but at least you can skip a lot of that grinding if you just buy the stuff. Warframe is designed to get you to buy micro transactions and that’s how it survives.
