I've completed this mission several times now, and after I pick up the hawkmoon piece at the end of the mission, I never get hawkmoon from it. And I then still have the "Let Loose Thy Talons" mission on my map in the EDZ. It seems like the mission is bugged for me where I can never really finish it. The ending dialogue plays and the timer for mission complete runs, but I have never gotten hawkmoon from it. I'm not really sure how to fix this. I tried to look for a way to make a ticket with Bungie support but I couldn't find a contact form for this issue. If anyone can help/point me in the right place I would really appreciate it. It looks like I am on the first step of the quest, where you pick up the effigy of hawkmoon. And the mission never disappears from my EDZ. I can get a video of this, if necessary.
