It no longer punishes shotguns, they manage to cancel the knockback with melee, sometimes the knockback pulls them toward you for an easier shotgun kill, sometimes they hit their shot before you throw it because of the long charge time.
If hhsn no longer one shots, it needs something more than just knockback, it feels terrible to use right now.

[spoiler]Weighted Knife (doubly so with Athrys's Embrace), new Flux Grenade, Incendiary Grenade[/spoiler] Warlocks are the only ones that don't have an ability to Shatter and the only ones that don't have a Stasis alternate class ability through an Exotic. Firebolt and Axion Bolt grenades remain utterly pointless, Scatter Grenade feels pathetically weak while Solar and Vortex Grenades were needlessly nerfed. In my opinion, Storm Grenade is the only Warlock-exclusive one that is both good and survived the changes with minimal damage. I appreciate that I'm not being unavoidably Shatterdived 438 times per match, but it hasn't stopped the oppressiveness of Hunters with Stompies and it has come at the cost of all ability builds.

9 通の返信Yep I’ve been saying this and just get downvoted to oblivion. Even has a post removed on Reddit. It pulls enemies towards you more often than not. Apes can easily just kill you in the animation. It was a great tool for sniping, but now it’s laughable. Just another tool taken away to combat shot gunners. I suspect the super radius has been toned down too. Anyways back to HHSN, it needs to either have the charge time decreased, remove the self damage, and have the push back increased or it needs to be reverted to a 1hk. If they need to make it like bleak watcher where they increase the recharge rate to the highest void nade time that would be acceptable. Hunters have weighted knife and flux nades. Titans 3 SC perform much better now with the buffs and can still 1hk with Greaves. Why is lock the only class without a 1hk? Us blinky boys need some love. Yeah yeah paving the way for void 3.0, but what about the next 3 months?

1 返信My suggestions (They don’t necessarily need to do all of these, these are just some of my ideas. I would love if they did all of these and gave it the Bleak Watcher treatment where the cooldown is the longest it could be to compensate for the strength): -Decrease charge time -Increase damage and impulse against enemy supers -Increase impulse in general, to the point where it can consistently kill a guardian if they are within a meter or so of a wall. -Remove self-damage and allow the player to throw a handheld at a wall for a burst of impulse in the opposite direction (basically like how scorch cannons work in Scorched) -Decrease base damage slightly to accommodate the rest of these changes. If Handheld isn’t going to be a direct insta-kill, then they need to give it more versatility and introduce a skill gap in its use cases. It was clearly designed to only be a quick and dirty insta kill, so it needs drastic changes to be useful if that’s out of the window.

This. I sincerely hope it gets an overhaul in void 3.0 and this was just a quick fix to keep it from being broken for three months. Add on top of this how bad Controverse is right now and the whole thing feels like warlocks keep getting the short end of the stick with balance changes.

2 通の返信If this is no longer an offensive ability then it needs to be changed. My suggestion would be to not only increase the knock back but also give it a concussive effect. Also shorten the cooldown. This would now be an ambush or defensive melee.

I made a Reddit post asking for at least a change to remove (or reduce) the self damage of HHSN. The self damage made sense as a trade off when it was a OHK ability. Now the risk/reward isn’t worth it. With that said I do believe you can “physics” someone into a wall with the knock back to complete a kill, or also push someone off the edge of a map. In pve, I’ve had some fun with the pve buffs.

Although tbh, It would be kind of cool if it dealt 0 damage, but functioned like a throwable Phalanx blast, and could kill people by knocking them into walls or off the map. That would mean it was only sometimes a OHK, and that’s cool.

7 通の返信I'm fine with this though. The only ability that has killed me with a one hit kill has been weighted knife and I'm fine with that. I play all 3 characters and I'm having a blast. Stomp EE's will get nerfed and that will be fantastic depending on what they do. I played about 30-35 games of IB last week and did not get shatterdived even once although I had adapted already but even when I put myself in bad position I still got away because of the changes. So far the only thing I see as an outlier still is the distance dune marchers can reach. It's still about 20 meters. That's way too far. I'm not even going to mention shotguns because they will never go away. If you want to punish shotguns use a fusion or bait then with smg or sidearm. It's great baiting them with sidearms. I've been called a back pedaling sidearm -blam!- by shotgun rushers.

4 通の返信It needed the change, but what is more urgent is nerf to shatter dive. It’s stupidly OP despite the recent changes. I know bungie said it’s coming but it can’t come soon enough.
