I would like to clarify I mean the IMMEDIATE inventory, not the Vault. 500 spaces is plenty.
The current system allows us to have one weapon equipped in each slot, and hold nine others for a total of ten.
I no longer feel like this is enough. This system was designed for Destiny 1, and while likely considered with future proofing, it's just not enough anymore. Since this system has been first implemented we have had so many new things added. Sub-machine guns, linear fusion rifles, bows, swords and we're about to add glaives.
Also, while I think the decision to uncouple special ammo weapons from elements was a good one, it adds to this. I might want to carry a lightweight and aggressive frame shotgun in my kinetic area, but I'll also have two elemental ones for shield popping that I'll use depending on what activity I'm doing.
On top of that, we've also added in stasis weapons to the kinetic slot and its likely safe to assume corruption element will go there to when we get it.
While a good decision to prevent the overcrowding issue becoming entirely impossible in the elemental slot, this is more delaying the inevitable by pushing that off to the kinetic slot.
All of this boils down to one end result. I can certainly play the game, and activities in general aren't affected. But I have to play the game with my phone set to the side to with the app open so I can pull anything I need. Because if I sit down with friends, we might play a few crucible matches while we wait for everyone to get on, go do a raid, and a few of us might go do a grandmaster after that. The next day, we might do a few pinnacle activities.
All of these require different weapons, and I'm sure you know what I'm talking about to. In order to do these activities and not have to go running back to the tower every other activity you have to play with the app in hand.
Armor hasn't changed much (in terms of how this functions) so we're pretty good there, except maybe to pull out a exotic every now and then, we usually just carry several good legendary and our favorite exotics.
You always have to go to the tower or app to pull weapons, but hardly ever armor.
While I think the armor slots are fine, I wish they would gives us another three slots per weapon type for carrying weapons on our person.

Since we can beam up and down to our ships, why not have weapons onboard that we could access any time we need them? No reason a ship can’t have 100 weapons on board. Who flies back and forth across the galaxy because they left their favorite bow at home? Also 500 isn’t enough. They say grind for all the cool stuff and then don’t give us a big enough closet for it all. It”s just a few bytes Bungle.

In a game with hundreds of weapons and thousands of potential god rolls, 10 space for weapons (including equipped weapon) is so unbelievably minuscule. We. Need. More. Space. There isn’t an argument against it and there never will be. Anything anybody says in disagreement is either stupid or they’re a bot. Most often than not however, both.

6 通の返信Agreed. Last gen consoles need to get left in the dust for it to happen though. That would be nice, but they're the majority of the player base.

Both Vault space - ABSOLUTELY - and extra Inventory space are really needed by most of us. Something like 15 weapons per slot would work wonders for being able to switch things around for different content. Unfortunately Bungie are happy to make this highly expensive, multi million dollar franchise half-Bungie and half-third party. It's almost UNPLAYABLE now without using third-party apps for every game preparation and every item development.

Authorにより編集済み: 12/12/2021 9:32:54 PMI was thinking about this today they could easily add another slot in the rows and another row entirely without changing much of the UI It would at least be nice to have as much slots as there are weapon types in the game

I agree. It would be nice to increase it to 4x4 for each weapon slot for 5 extra (slots per slot?). The only issue with this would be increasing inventory load times, but I don’t think I would mind too much. If it’s only for weapons it shouldn’t make much of a difference. I will say it would be nice for it to happen to armor as well since then you could have basically every exotic armor piece for your class in your inventory plus a couple legendaries, but it’s definitely more necessary with weapons

I would hope that the introduction of a crafting system as well as Darkness weapons in the "kinetic" slot would spur Bungo on to reevaluate their character inventory system. That said, it'd be nice if they'd at least acknowledge that it's time for a change.

Collections need to be the first thing they address. Second to that would the vault and then the inventory. Without the Collections being addressed in a sense of identity, we will never get out of the situation we are in.

WhiteInk47により編集済み: 12/12/2021 2:30:02 AMYeah this would help a lot honestly. I don’t like to fumble with my vault at all, I play one character and I just want to have a good amount of things on me ready to go. Sometimes it get’s pretty tight and I’ve gotta vault some guns I like, and that’s frustrating.

3 通の返信I am pretty sure this engine d2 is running on is on its last leg, so this might increase overall loading when added and honestly bungie should've just made d3 with a new engine, but I guess it cOsTs MoNeY

1 返信I read the title and thought to myself “hell no” but you have brought up some very wonderful points! I very much agree and upvote this post!

3 通の返信Can deal with character inventory, thanks to the app. Vault space and to a lesser extent Postmaster are the true issues.

1 返信Yes to this. Whilst I probably have some underlying OCD, it is a pain to gear up for endgame sometimes without messing about with your vault. Personally, my inventory has to cover all weapon types (hand cannon, shotgun, breach gl, scout rifle etc etc) for weapon specific bounties, all elements, I need a primary and special weapon of each element, and a heavy of each element. Plus there’s champion mods to consider as well. I solo speedrun master lost sectors sometimes for mats and getting an efficient loadout that covers elements, champion mods, seasonal artifact mods, singe modifiers etc is reminiscent of Tetris sometimes. Now we have stasis and soon glaives too. There are also compounding issues such as blue drops that Bungie won’t let us auto dismantle. I have one empty slot for each weapon slot to allow me to dismantle in game without tower trips. Personally I would be satisfied with improvements to vault management. Instead of one big inventory, maybe we can have the ability to make sub folders for god rolls, endgame PvE weps, pvp weps etc.

I agree completely. But there’s something about going to the tower w my buddies to prepare for a raid or a nightfall that I love. Obviously this is a time killer and is not good for many but I still like it when I have the time.
