Aren’t most weapons in this game behind some sort of a paywall? May it be DLC or seasons.
Why does Bungie get so much flack for these practices?
The almighty Witcher 3 locked Grandmaster Witcher Armor behind Blood & Wine among other things. Nobody complained there?
They’re a business first and foremost, if the game doesn’t generate income, the game won’t be expanded upon. Simple really.

Witcher 3 gets benefit of the doubt for whatever it does because their game unlike bungie's was complete at launch while D2 still to this day is nowhere as complete as base Witcher 3. Oh and I dont remember CDPR reselling you the same exotic weapon 3 times now.
