I 100% agree. no grenades no dodge no super. no fun. Takes forever to get my super now.
this game isnt supposed to be a shooting sim i want to throw flaming knives and use my gold gun.
Yes, the ability play now feels like -blam!-, forcing you to rely heavily on the average gunplay with less identity than ever.
They know this is a problem in regards to the “fun” factor of the game - the new “Space Pony Game Show” event is the antithesis of this - constantly buffing your abilities in order to make it actually fun and akin to the way it was (or better). It IS fun. Thus, now, the rest of the game feels awful in regards to ability times, especially supers. This is stupid.
Now I understand why they were selling it so hard to us before release - because they knew it sucked. They also tried to claim this is “foundational” to other systems (which are likely also not good), and if this is truly the case (that it is core), then ALL of that content should have been released simultaneously- not this continued “drip-feed” garbage.
How long before we see new exotics that buff individual abilities to pre-patch states? Players will praise the new exotic, while in truth they have given you nothing; all they did was give back what should have never been taken. And made you pay for a season or a dungeon to get it. But hey, it’s really easy if you don’t have to work at designing a bunch of totally new exotics. This creates a lot of low-hanging fruit for them.
Hmm, sounds like “sun setting” weapons…and we all know what a great idea that was. Yet, now “influencers” can tell us how good it is when they bring back something that should have never gone away.
To reiterate: this is stupid and makes the large majority of the game (PvE) play and feel awful compared to where it was a week ago (speaking holistically regarding abilities, but most noticeably supers).
