When in game you start off really well, possibly getting a 10x streak or even a 20x streak, then halfway through the game you cannot kill anyone, noticed this a few times, it feels like they turn a cheat on halfway through (even tho they probably haven’t) the enemies kill you instantly when they didn’t before, and yet they seem to be much harder to kill. It’s just very strange when it happens.
Perhaps bungie have this catch up mechanism in PvP games?
And have you experienced this also?

2 通の返信This post has a lot of upvotes and I’m seeing a large amount of comments not only agreeing but also stating that Bungie has some sort of “catch up mechanic.” As someone with a 3.0 KD and is too 0.1% is a lot of playlist, I can assure you there is no such this as a “catch up mechanic” in PvP. Everything the OP and other posters are experiencing is a lack of consistency and completely placebo. I’m currently on a 40 game win streak in Rumble and dropping an average 4.0 KD over the last 4 days in the playlist. I’m not even a “good” player compared to actual good players such as Benny, Sayariu or BBoy. If you “feel” or “think” the enemy “randomly” gets better mid game it’s because you have a lack of consistency. It’s clear, with evidence, that it’s possible to play well consistently and win the majority of games. Just because YOU’RE not able to do it doesn’t mean there’s something “fishy” going on. It’s time to take some responsibility.

1 返信This is the dumbest post I've seen in months. It's pretty simple really. Early in the match everyone is together, making team shots easier. As the game progresses people can get more spread out. Additionally, people learn. So what was working for you at the beginning of the match has been adapted to by the end. There is no catch up mechanic.

1 返信Running double primary , with major spec on gnawing hunger. Majority of the time in a 6 man really starts to cause delusion. I've played with and against OP and this is just insane . Truth hurts sometimes but it needs to be said .

Interpol89により編集済み: 12/6/2021 1:19:42 AMI think that’s just in your head. I typically do well from start to finish, or immediately get mercy ruled because of bungie’s matchmaking. The FIFA games are the only ones that clearly have scripting/ catch up mechanics. In those, your players become super slugging when EA doesn’t want you to win a game.

6 通の返信Some cheaters will turn aimbot on half way through the match. That way they maintain the crit rate illusion when Bungie or a player checks their stats on destiny tracker etc I'm not saying that is what is happening, I just read that is a ban evasion strategy in the hacker forums.

100% confirmed this just yesterday i found an AFK player and headshot him with a slug shotgun from melee range. Yellow crit numbers ( i dont remember the exact value) and he didnt die. Wish I knew how to make clips. I totally would have saved that one.

3 通の返信People will deny it all day, but non-competitive crucible modes are 100% rigged to ensure around a 50% win/loss ratio if you're a solo player. They are also rigged so that every player, good or bad, can have "hero" moments where they are at the top of the leaderboard destroying everyone. I'm sure you've seen it, some blueberry who was dying a million times in the last match is suddenly an unkillable god in the next match. They rig matches by hit detection, damage, and spawns (I know spawns can be controlled, but there are many times when the game spawns you in places that don't make sense, like right in front of the enemy super when there are many other safe available spawn points). There are also catch up mechanics, where you're destroying the enemy team and then suddenly they start making an impossible comeback.

13 通の返信Puma Kaneにより編集済み: 12/4/2021 3:48:56 AMYes, the last 3 weeks, I've noticed an uptick in this catch-up mechanic. Things I notice when it happens: - Headshoots count as bodyshots - No aim assist - Extreme aim assist that activated through the wall - Shotgun wiffs on every encounter - opponents outputting more damage with no mods - dying to one shot melee - game starts frequently spawing me near enemy spawn without spawn flip - losing 1v1s to guys that stand still - extreme Flinch while I wear double mods The funniest encounter is whenI used a Telesto on an opponent and he ran around with the Telesto bubbles on his chest.

8 通の返信I've had this feeling that something in the code is rigging game's and gun fights. I played trials today, and i kid you not, i shot a titan 4 time's (once in the head) and not a single shot registered and he scurried off to tell the tribesmen of his escape.

14 通の返信I am GOING to get ninjad for this but… if you think bungie is RIGGING GAMES, you are SO stupid. You are blaming some crazy conspiracy theory because you got came back on? Are you crazy? Dude this casual community is why bungie seems so confused on who to cater to. Y’all are soft and blame everything but your self for losing while having the biggest entitlement issues on the planet.

Easy explanation: When you feel like you are doing well, it's most likely because the matchmaking decided to matchup teams in your favor. You can check that on sites like destinytracker "team bravo had a 90 % chance of winning". Usually when your team is doing well, that means you and your teammates are better elo wise and skill wise than your enemies, you stomp them, half of your enemy team leaves and way better players take their spot by joining mid game because the matchmaking algorythm tries to help out the losing team. That's why i always join the losing site when i join a match mid game. I am above average and the game wants me to turn the ties by putting me into the weaker team. People leaving and others joining back in is a REALLY fast process, most of the times you don't notice the process and think "how can they suddenly shite on me". That's it, no rigged systems here. (loot rng tho, yea that's rigged af towards new players and returning players).

P P P Pressure it only seems that way at times I tend to do good until I think about hey I'm doing good, I'm on a 10 streak, then you play different, slow, cautious or like in rumble the first 18 kills are easy and fast and the last 2 you die 6 times and the rest catch up. You get in your own head.

I would say you are playing very predictable if that’s the case. If someone gets me crouching around a corner twice I will legit start pre firing the corners with shotguns or jumping around corners. If a sniper is in the same lane, I go another way. If a guy slide shotguns I jump over or back snd primary him …that’s my best guess is you are playing the same lanes and behaviors

Almost like there is an app that allows damage to be nerfed outgoing and buffed incoming. I also have had problems with my radar being 180 degrees off. Have had similar things happen in strikes and raids. Maybe it’s just a bug. The GOS raid is where it happened so bad I couldn’t break a shield, thought I forgot my ar shield mod, nope. Was also getting one shot by everything. It went away after we wiped? I don’t care enough to film with my GoPro. I know I have been one shot by the same gun that takes me three shots in crucible. Seen guys with no mods level 3 across the board running through strikes shredding everything twice as fast with the same guns…could be a cheat, glitch, misperception, who cares, just a more enjoyable waste of time than tv.

Definitely. Ever been in a match where you about to mercy the opposing team and end up losing? As you say, it's as if a switch is flicked which reverses everything, from hit registration to the final score. But there will always be people who deny that anything is wrong cos they never experience it.
