Thoughts?
My thought is you have a content creator who is no longer relevant (He stopped covering The Division, and he hasn't caught on at all trying to cover Destiny)...who is trying to gain attention through negativity.
1. All games are more expensive this generation. The base price of AAA games on PS5 and XBSX have gone up to $70
2. The nature of the game has changed since Activision was the publisher. Activision wanted Destiny to be a serialized, seasonalized shooter. But one where you had to buy every scrap of content to keep playing the game. Whereas, when you compare Destiny to most MMO-type or MMO-lite games....It is dramatically cheaper than most games of its type to play...
...and most games that try to be less expensive are STARVING for content. Marvel's Avengers. Anthem (dead). The Division 2 hasn't seen an expansion in almost 2 years. The game is literally replaying verbatim content from last year, and its a ghost town.
3. Long story short? You have a segment of the player base that lost the struggle for control over the game...and they're bitter. They are like the jilted lover who can't let go, and won't move on. So they hang around the game and they throw rocks at it. The game has changed in ways the don't like, and they're simply mad....and because they're mad, they're arguing that its bad.
who is trying to gain attention through negativity.
>Negativity Unlike you he isn't a shill, he isn't scared of speaking up about how what he said is actually pretty damn true AND that we're here just acting like "everything's fine" when it isn't. Activision as much as they're greedy at least knew how to steer the ship and honestly D2 was better before Bungie got tossed away by 'em. Next update they're nerfing everything to bring us back to pre-"go fast!" update that came during the vanilla D2 days. "More shoot shooting, less abilities usage" It's going to be atrocious and people will be back here on the forums telling them X changes indeed were a bad call and bungie will apologize and take weeks or months to revert some of it.

TheArtistにより編集済み: 12/1/2021 12:18:34 PM1. The OP asked for people's "thoughts" which is a call for people to express their OPINIONS. Which is why I made it clear that what I was about to say WAS my INFORMED opinion as someone who has followed MarcoStyles work on The Division. So I know that he usually takes a higher road than this...can take a higher road than this...and criticizing a game based on "cost" like this is beneath the quality of his previous work. Yes, it is my (informed) opinion. Thank You, Captain Obvious. 2. No he isn't. He has never achieved the status in the Destiny community that he had covering The Division. He was considered such a prominent creator and such an influential creator in The Division community that Ubisoft Massive actually offered him a **job** in terms of helping them to design the game. His analysis of the game and its flaws was SO good, that the developers were willing to PAY him to do it. 3. And here we go. The Generational Escape Clause: Anyone who doesn't agree with my uninformed, emotional and biased opinion is a PAID SHILL. Because my limited perspective defines what is REAL for all 6 BILLION human beings, so the only way that anyone could POSSIBLY disagree with me is if they are stupid, crazy, bad....or getting PAID to do it (which is synonymous with "bad"). Listen up. I disagree with you because I know what I'm talking about...and I don't have any AXES to grind against the game. I know MS's work very well...and so I'm familiar with the decline in its quality since he switched from The Division to Destiny. As well as the fact that he has not regained the traction or influence he had in that community with this one . I'm not here to judge him. But to those who are familiar with the full body of his work, what he is doing here is pretty obvious...and for someone who is familiar with The Division and how that game has always been starved for content in comparison to Destiny? What he's doing is pretty disingenous, and as a fan of his previous work, I'm frankly disappointed. He's better than this. MUCH better than this. Bungie is charging us more, because they are doing MORE for the game than their competitors. The Division 2 hasn't had a new expansion in almost 2 years. It hasn't had any new content in almost a year. That game right now is a GHOST town. It is so dead that most days the game can't even find you matches for the most relevant content.
