I’m a big fan of Destiny but at the moment I feel like I don’t want to buy the next expansion. There are just too many problems in the game that are not addressed and it feels way too repetitive.
I’m not writing to complain though. If anyone has a good reason why I should buy it, I’d be interested to hear it.

1 返信As others said wait a while after release though I'd recommend watching videos instead of reading reviews since hatred towards a company tends to make people review bomb as it has happened on other games hence why I only trust reviews from friends and watching videos to see if I like it

2 通の返信Honestly it’s your choice in the end we may give a good or bad reasons why too or not but your the only one who decides.

2 通の返信The game is best enjoyed when played in a fire team with your buddies or clan mates. Not as much fun solo. If you’ve got a squad then you’ll have fun. If you don’t. The game will get old, real fast. 90% of the complaining on this forum comes from the solo player perspective. Keep that in perspective.

Leaks say that there are 8 missions with 5 being presage quality. There’s also a legendary difficulty for the campaign that supposedly has rewards worth the difficulty. With how bungie has handled difficulty in the past year, it’s likely that it Will actually be somewhat difficult compared to other the D1 hard mode missions.

1 返信If your not sold on it, I'd recommend waiting until March to make a decision. The DLC content is not going anywhere and by then you can skip most of the time gating. Also reviews will be out by then and you can see how people enjoyed the month of Feb.

If you enjoy the game and feel you will continue to play, then buy it. If you don’t, then keep your money in your pocket. There are too many other good games coming out in that time window. Unless your money is burning a hole in your pocket, then don’t spend it. Something you like better will come along…or the game will reveal that it is worth you time and money in some other way.

2 通の返信Witch Queen won’t make the game less repetitive. Nothing will outside of you stop playing. The type of game Destiny is has to be repetitive, otherwise everyone stops playing after a month because they have everything. If you care about experiencing the story in Witch Queen, then that’s reason to get it. There will surely be some weapons you will only be able to get and do bounties for if you own Witch Queen. Just like Beyond Light and ShadowKeep before it. If you don’t like what Destiny is now, I doubt Witch Queen will add or change enough of the game to make a difference. But if you have enjoyed Beyond Light, overall, even with all the game’s issues then getting Witch Queen should be an easy choice. In the end it is up to you. Do you enjoy Destiny enough to keep playing for the next 12 months (even if it is off and on)? Do the negatives in Destiny right now outweigh any positives you feel playing the game? You can always wait for reviews and impressions, or a sale. Or take this time to walk away forever or until you hear the game is in a state you feel is worth coming back to.

Buy to reward Bungie with $$money$$ ! It’s honestly my thinking. I may or may not actually complete all 3 seasons next year but, with so many hours in Destiny already I figure, reward them for their work & support game development a bit. I’m kinda a cheapskate IRL and dole out money cautiously but Destiny has been a nice diversion for a good while.

1 返信“A Guardian’s purpose is not to reason why, it is to do or die...and then to respawn...and die again.” Cayde 6 said that to me just before we lost him.

1 返信I preordered it, skipped this last expansion though. If you need a reason, just wait till it’s out and see what it’s like on free to play and go from there. Check out some honest reviews on it and see if you have a reason then. If not then 🤷🏼♂️. Maybe don’t buy it? Or just pick up a season here and there that you want to do for the rewards.

1 返信Weapon crafting. (not saying is worth the buy, we don't know much about it except that is tied to owning witch queen, if that's true that could be looked as a reason to cash in)

It’s more Destiny. Ask yourself if that’s something you want. Yeah, it’s incredibly simplistic, I know. That’s because they aren’t going to re-invent the wheel, right? Sure, there’s going to be new features among other things, but at the end of the day, it’s just more Destiny. If you have the time and are interested in that, I say go for it. If not, there’s plenty of stuff coming in Feb that might catch your eye.

1 返信Wait a few days after release, watch reviews and see what it offers. If you like, buy it.

1 返信Don’t understand people that can’t make up their own minds and need this forum to help make their decisions. 🤷🏻♂️

1 返信I’ll probably get it after reviews, I love destiny but I’m currently wrapped up in about 4 other games and I don’t have time for the grind
-
1 返信Honestly the best thing to do right now if you are on the fence, is to wait until it launches watch stuff about it and formulate your own opinion on it. I would definitely say get it, but that’s just me.

1 返信If you go all in and get all the content being offered, new dungeons, raid, glaives, weapon crafting, story progression, hive guardians… sounds pretty cool to me. Who knows, maybe they’ll take the upcoming year to update the core playlists…🤞

1 返信I can’t tell you how to spend your money. All I know is I got the pack for $100. That should keep me busy for a year (and is a good deal if you think about it; just the 4 seasons is $40)

3 通の返信I do not think anyone should need to give you a reason. Make your own mind up which by the sounds of it already done that. Warts and all Destiny is value for money and is still fun. I will stay until the end of Destiny.
