I know this topic has been brought up, but man, I really wish I could hide my seasonal level.
On the one hand, I am motivated to get my power level up, but I also find it quite embarrassing for people to see how much time I’ve played?
Like, to the point where I’ll just outright not pick up any bounties because I’m trying to keep my seasonal level down. I take no pride in the number, it just feels like having my “hours played” printed on my head.
I’m only level 264 now, and I’ve only done about half the bounties available to me over the last month. If I could hide my seasonal level, I would’ve been much happier to grind it out.
Just my two cents.
Edit: alternatively...
Is your teammates seasonal rank information something you need access to 24/7, in and out of combat?
Why not use the same icon to instead display the status of your allies supers. Their heavy ammo, or what subclass they are on. That would actually be really useful information.

I agree with hiding the seasonal level as it serves no purpose to anything at all in this game beneficially. But, I think your reasoning is silly at best. In this current four month season you can spend three to four weeks doing every daily and weekly bounty and hit 1345, then stop doing anything at all, and be about light level 375. So, for the remaining three months you can play any other game in the world and not be chained to the game. People need to stop thinking higher light levels no life the game. If people can't figure out time management skills to get one hour of bounties done a day there are bigger issues personally.

8 通の返信I love having season rank displayed. It tells you who has a life, and who doesn't, so you always know right away if you're about to get curb stomped. If I load into a match against 3 season rank 250+ players, I just give up. They clearly live, eat, drink, and breathe Destiny 2, so I, as someone with other things to do, don't bother. Obligatory "get a life" aside... Genuine question, all seriousness. If you are ashamed of your high playtime, why not find other things to enjoy as well, so you can fill your time with something besides Destiny 2? I'm not saying to stop playing entirely, just...why not take decent sized breaks now and then, do something else you enjoy, come back after a bit?

2 通の返信Idk why we can’t choose what is displayed. Why is the season pass number the only option?

5 通の返信How is it bothering you ? XD. Trust me...unless you have a 1000+ seasonnal rank, nobody will ever notice your level or even care about it XD

5 通の返信400+ is my threshold. Anyone at that level either lives in their basement or uses macros in the thrallway. Sub 400, nbd. Probably will increase it as the season goes on

1 返信I think that this is just "a few bad apples spoil the bunch" thing. I don't know much about high season pass numbers and tbh I'm suprised that people can get upset about a high season pass number. Although I would prefer if it showed their current health and shields instead.
