Xbox Game pass users
Hello,
Question, I came back to D2 because It was available through game pass. I’m totally loving it and I and 100% going to buy 30th Ann, and Witch queen.l deluxe.
Even though about to drop $100, will I still get cut off from all the content I’ve currently been playing? Do I need to get legacy destiny 2? I really hope I don’t bungie.
Any clarity would be appreciated.

37 通の返信Game Pass is a rental service where content cycles in and out every month. When content cycles out of Game Pass users lose access to that content unless they purchase it separately. On XBox Game Pass all of the Destiny 2 DLC's are cycling out of Game Pass in December. Once it cycles out you will lose access to that content unless you purchase it separately. If you wish to purchase the content you can do so. The Legendary Edition would give you access to Forsaken, Shadowkeep and Beyond Light. Alternatively you can still purchase each individually at your leisure.

Yes, Bungie is going to make you purchase all the content that they're going to remove in three months, it's incredibly predatory but no one challenges them on their -blam!-. The content may be irrelevant and three years old but they're going to squeeze every cent they can out of their players. After all, how else will they pay for their Teslas?

4 通の返信Don't believe that it was an XBox choice. The game is still on Gamepass PC. This is all a Bungo thing. They wanted more money. It's why the DCV exists. It's why sunsetting is/was a thing. No clue why the Bungo Association of Apologists exist, but some ppl will do anything for a paycheck. It's actually pretty clever. Jump on the "Remastered old games" train but sell it in chunks within the existing game. No need to maintain two. Props for that one But unless you want to keep having things removed and then resold back to you ad infinitum, just bounce now. This is literally their business model

The content will be pulled from GP around the first week of Dec. Whatever you do not own will be locked behind a paywall. The Forsaken campaign will be removed completely in late Feb when Witch Queen launches. If you want the "full" experience, Bungie is selling Forsaken, Shadowkeep, and Beyond Light for $32 right now. Come February, the only part of the $32 bundle you will lose will be Forsaken.

I think Bungie has dropped the ball on this one. I appreciate it’s a business, I appreciate the expansions are discounted right now but it’s seems a bit much imo. Why would I pay decent money for content that is no longer going to be relevant…

And i have Destiny on several platforms in different editions. you should be able to USE them no matter what plattform as this is a LIVE SERVICE / Cross plattform and Account based! But no, buy and rebuy that is the question! 👎

RM[/quote] You would need to purchase the expansions: forsaken, shadowkeep and beyond light in order to play the base content from those expansions, such as raids, strikes dungeons etc. You would also need to own beyond light to play trials. They are making forsaken free in December because it’s due to be sunset, but since D2 is also leaving gamepass I suspect they will have some kind of discounted bundle for the other 2 expansions. Any gear/exotics you earned from these expansions will remain usable, but you’ll lose access to stasis. Seasonal content paid for will still be there. VoG and Prophecy were also free for all players so you’ll still have those.

Don't matter if you buy the Super mega deluxe murder edition. You will need the Super Mega Turbo Deluxe Infinite Mass Driver Implode Xplod Quake edition, and that will run you $170 excluding Witch Queen and 30 th anniversary of course, that cost extra! But soon you can buy separate content for $10 each, or $20 depends how greedy Bungie want's to be! To make it short. Not even with the best, baddest and biggest bundle you will be able to get most of the things. And that you do pay for will end up in the vault eventually! Thank god for Halo Infinite!

2 通の返信In addition to what the others have said, all 3 Expansions getting pulled from gamepass are currently on sale for about 50% off. Good time to buy them, WQ isn't coming out for a few months so that one can wait if money is tight.

1 返信Legacy is on sale for $31.99 for the next two weeks on the Microsoft store. It is going to go back up to $80 December 2nd. If you are going to buy 30th and Witch queen I highly recommend you do it. It sucks but that is the state of gaming now a days. I used Microsoft rewards to buy beyond light for 19,500 points. It was nice since I have been getting gamepass ultimate with the points and now expansions. Hopefully you can find a way for it to work for you at least they are offering more than a 50% discount

You will need to purchase old expansion to access certain activity and be able to use stasis and the middle tree classes I believe early December there will be a sale or a price drop so you can re buy them at those day
