Title says it all. I understand how bungie is hesitant on putting freelance trials permanent but it needs to be here. Personally being a good player i actually prefer going in solo compared to 3 stacking. 70%+ of people who play trials are solo, so why not have it?

This is because I usually solo que but get the worst teammates you can ever think of and some reason the game decides to give the pve trash cans to me so I lose most of my flawless cards and games bc of them. Not saying freelance will fix this issue but bungie needs a SKILL BASED MATCHMAKING, THE TRASHCANS GO WITH THE TRASHCANS AND THE SWEATS GO WITH THE SWEATS I AM TIRED OF HAVING TO CARRY THESE KIDS TO A WIN THEY DO NOT DESERVE. IT NEVER MAKES ANY SENSE TO ME ON WHY THE AVERAGE 1.0 PLAYER IS IN MY QUE LIKE NO MISS ME WITH THAT. GO IN UR TRASH QUE. I DO NOT KNOW HOW MNAY FLAWLESSES I COULD HAVE RIGHT NOW WITHOUT HAVING A BAD TEAMMATE AND MAKING ME LOSE MY MERCY THEN LAST CHANCE. Some people may say "oh just look for a team bro" no kid its hard looking for a team with good stats while you have people out here saying 1.5 kd pls with like a 0.9 kd actually laughable. BUNGIE NEEDS TO FIX THEIR MATCHMAKING!!!

3 通の返信Freelance is cool and all, but when you go into trials as a duo (me and my twin brother), our matchmake times would be longer and then there would be even smaller of a chance for solos to fight, usually its always 3 stack teams, so the small chance of solos is a bonus.

Would love a permanent solo queue. I fear a group will also exploit that mode to push out players so they can get paid. I think the only viable solution it to have, one adept trials weapon given after resetting 3-5 times. Only given once per season. Sort of like they did with redrix broadsword m. That will keep the population up for every season for a very long time. This is only because people try to exploit this mode and this will at least keep the population up for an extended period of time

21 通の返信Most of the arguments I've seen against freelance trials talk about how they don't want to have the population split between team and freelance. So here's a crazy suggestion, make one weekend out of the month freelance trials only, and the other 3 weekends team trials as normal. This way the population isn't split, and everyone gets a chance.

1 返信It won't happen you'll have sweats and steamers crying it's to hard just like with sb. Just read some the comments, most don't care about the player base they just don't wanna have to actually play competitive they want easy.

Teams that should be getting their flawless on Friday and Saturday but they want it to be a cake walk so they wait. I’m ok with that if it wasn’t exploited but must I as a solo have to play team after team after team? It’s as if the matchmaking is built to have teams play solos. Do teams ever play each other? 🤦♂️ maybe they do but I never seem to play many solos. When I do, I win most of those matches.

I rlly enjoy trials actually but as a solo experience it is awful. I am just trying to enjoy myself and get some good loot and constantly facing three stacks makes of feel hopeless and super frustrating. Help out solo players make the game more fun bungie.

At the very least, I’d like to see it come back once a month. I enjoy not having to find a team and to dip Into trials. It gets annoying facing 3 stacks in most games. Once a month people. It won’t kill you!

Not going to lie im not much of a trials players but when it was freelance I actually enjoyed it. It was nice had some wins lol lots of losses but I still had fun and got to kinda test my skill and work on bettering my pvp gameplay.

2 通の返信If it doesn't solve the problem, which it doesn't. Then it's a waste of time adding it. It doesn't stop blowouts and it didn't give people easier games. The matchmaking needs a serious looking at and even if they were to get it working better. Freelance still needs to stay away. Population of trials isn't big enough to consistently hold two lists without a problem.

Zero reason not to have it, as we see with the numbers they have nose dived to laughable again, people saying it doesnt need to be in have zero idea what they are talking about as i know my clan mates whom were playing weekly have just stopped. no reason to go in, it was super exciting when we had 3 or 4 go solo flawless one of the solo playlist weeks, bragging rights in the clan. now they stay out even getting 3 of us together just isn't that fun.

Returning Freelance in the broken state it was in is a mistake. Just out of curiosity, I want every average to slightly above average player who solo queues to check their match history and see why they lost. Is it because of a three stack? Really good opponents? Or is it because their teammates under performed in almost every match? The third is exclusively my experience. Which is why I don't solo. I should match teammates on my skill level. And then the system should find us opponents using card based matchmaking. Edit: I'm not saying "bad players are a problem." I'm saying low end and high end outliers are present in solo queue matches and as a result, those matches are skewing more frequently than matches with pre-made fireteams.

I play primarily because my 8 year old son wants me to play with him. I don't care about my personal kill ratio stats; in fact I don't even know what they are as I haven\t looked at them in D2 whereas in D1 I was obsessed with looking at them. Having said that, I did check out the wins and losses after a brutal series of games last weekend and 8 of 9 games were 5-0, either us 5-0 the opponent or being 5-0 by 3 stacks (mostly this). That is a shocking number. Don't get me wrong, I want to win or at least have a close game and I am trying to tech my kid to enjoy the game. 5-0 is not fun, win or lose. Matchmaking is a total shitstorm, completely and absolutely broken. I'm actually in favour of freelance and not playing with my son if that is the means of having more balanced games. It sucks to not play together but at least the games are a little more balanced with freelance. I really am unable to find another solution. I liked the grinding to get Luna's Howl, etc. in comp playlist. Bring back that concept to Trials for a pinnacle weapon each season and toss the current format for mm.

Trials needs loot for people to play it. That’s all it needs. People play it for the loot. It needs like 5 weapons per season at a minimum, so it takes people longer than 1 week to get what they want. There’s no reason an end game pvp mode shouldn’t get a handful of new items every season. Why the hell do they only put 1 single weapon in every 3 months? It’s a joke. They put more items into Gambit every season. Put 5 weapons per season and you’ll see a ton of people playing Trials longer than 2 weeks.

Because fireteams will cry over matchmaking times and hate always playing teams in deflection of their excuses. Freelance permanent would need fireteams to never matchmake with randoms like now. You'd want either teams or solo que. I like the activities like Capture The Zone, but with small maps, its not the objective we need. I much rather it be a capture the flag or rift effect to get to safety as if kills and capture of the rift factor into a game win choice, but not the slower direction the TWAB is leading us back towards. The mayhem makes the game good, complaints will make destiny ruin its meta again. Either complaints or manipulated marketing to force some of these players to other bungie games.

3 通の返信Freelance won’t do too much to bring players back. The truth is, most casuals, solos, and low skill players have ALREADY got their desired non adept gear from trials. They won’t come back, even with freelance, until next season, when 1 or 2 new trials weapons are available. But trials engrams are so easy (yet frustrating) to get, the grind to get their desired non adept roll will take either 1 or 2 weeks. Then they’ll permanently be out of the playlist until next season. Masterworking materials are not even close to enough for people to play trials long term, and adept weapons are simply too hard to get, let alone farm for most players to even consider trying. Trials is dieing again. Freelance is simply not enough to bring players back long term. Why should anyone come back when their fodder, regardless of there being freelance or not?
