I'm literally returning witch queen and uninstalling the game when this update comes out.
Skullfort is a fundamental part of the look and feel of my character and my entire play style.
Shoulder charge has never even been good, no less OP.
Now it'll be useless and skullfort will be literally unusable, unless other major changes are made that we don't know about yet that somehow fix this.
Bungie claims that they want to change the game to focus more on gunplay.
The highest levels of play already did that. The only exceptions are things like shatter dive, some hunter abilities, and some warlock abilities.
Shoulder charge felt like you could play around it and have it define your style and character, but you couldn't solely rely on it.
Now it'll be useless.
Bungo, what are you doing? I just got back into the game and now I'm getting ready to uninstall and walk away forever.

If im not mistaken im pretty sure solar SC with dunemarchers and the burn effect should still kill though maybe not instantly but i was always just fore movement anyways alot of helmet SCing all game was D1 and vanilla D2

Don’t be too hasty. When the new skill trees come out for the light subclasses you may well be able to build around shoulder charge again… Remember SC is getting a 25% buff in pve & a 10% increase in its hit cone. It’s not all doom and gloom mate.

If I can't use skullfort and have shoulder charge up at all times, I have no desire to play. Even that wasn't enough ability usage for me to feel like it was enough to define the gameplay well enough. It was just barely on the cusp. Pulling it back to focus more on guns than the game already does just ends the game for me.

I'm not blaming my tools for success or failure. I'm explaining what mechanics made the game fun for me. High ability up time means that my build interacts with what I'm doing more often. It makes me feel like my build choices matter more often. It makes me feel like I'm playing my character. Focusing on using guns makes me feel like I'm playing Halo or CoD. The current system doesn't even have enough ability up time for me. I would prefer if abilities weren't all tied to cooldowns and more were connected to states... Such as sprinting and sliding and recently getting certain kinds of kills or being within certain other status effects. That makes the game more interesting and enjoyable to me. Pulling away from that won't make me worse at the game. In fact, I can probably do really well if I wanted to in that environment. I just won't have any desire to. I came here to be a space magic light better bearer that uses weapons. Not a gun dude that sometimes uses magic.

If they go this route I'll quit like I did last time they made abilities less of a focus. I literally only just came back. I was loving the game... Except for shatter dive save a few other exceptions. These changes make me have no point in playing the game. I had thousands of kills the last few weeks. I'm gonna enjoy it for the time I have left and then uninstall when the patch hits, unless it gets rolled back like sunsetting.

I wholeheartedly agree. The double primary slow af launch turned me off and i left when they didnt fix it with curse of osiris…. I just came back after stasis was tuned down. Now im going to quit again because they just ruined the one power fantasy i fell in love with. They already made SC like this and everyone hated it back then. Whatever, ill just comeback in after wq is free
