The new changes kinda suck

After reading this week's twab some of the changes baffle me. Let's go through some of the changes. shoulder charge will no longer ohk. Basically this is a dumb change because now no one will use shoulder charge in pvp. Why put yourself in a vulnerable position and also waste your melee. All the enemy has to do is hip fire shotgun you while you're still stuck in your animation. Decreased the damage of firebolt gernades to 64 while decreasing the cooldown rate. Most top tier players that use dawnblade use solar gernade. Firebolt already had tracking issues that arcbolt didn't have and now does less damage...great. No one is going to care for a decreased cooldown rate if the gernade sucks. Flux gernade will now ohk with a longer cooldown This one I'm conflicted on. On one hand no one used Flux gernade in pvp because of this. On the other hand people hated ohk sticky nades. If you see a 100 discipline Arcstrider with 2 weapons with adrenaline junkie, this is why. We'll have to see how this plays out. HHSN will no longer ohk Not alot of people rocked voidwalker to begin with and now no one is going to rock it at all. HHSN was the only thing the subclass had going for it in pvp. Hopefully void 3.0 can fix this issue. Shatterdive will be weaker against enemy players My take is that supers will live but normal players will still die. We separated supers with all separate cooldowns This one baffles me. This really wasn't much of an issue. Maybe if the buffed the underused supers people would use them more. (Looking at you blade barrage). And why is silence and squall now charging fast, it's already one of the best supers... Most of the other placements are fine but this never felt like an issue in the first place. Let's talk about dodging Bungie doesn't understand why people use gamblers dodge. It's because the tumble animation is actually evasive vs just moving off to the side. Just change the marksman dodge animation to gambler dodge and people will rock that instead. Another example of bungie being out of touch with the community. Striker changes I'm okay with this. Bottom tree has been kinda nuts. Melee changes I'm okay with this. Hopefully warlocks won't lose melee fights. Overall thoughts Overall this is a weird twab. I don't want to go back to d2y1. Some changes were fine but some changes were very very bad.

 • *Remembers Red War* I've seen this before and it won't end well. Can't wait to see the changes get praised so heavily again and then those same people start to complain in about 6 months or less.

 • feels like we are taking a step back and going towards the "Teamshooting" meta from the beginning of the game, especially with Dead Man's Tale getting buffed as well.

 • As far as shoulder charge and hhsn, it kind of sounds like they could end up becoming ground based ballistic slams. Which wouldn't be all that bad for the people using them. And like you said, there's still void 3.0 coming. Shatterdive in PvP is gone. Silence and Squall just doesn't get all that many kills and its also very inconsistent. A lot of people use revenant and that makes it seem more oppressive than it is. I think separating super cooldowns was good just because of what they said they did it to avoid, which was super o'clock. Right now a lot of matches start off with grenades, then ability spam, then like two minutes of possible primary play that's actually dominated by special ammo, then super o'clock comes. Then it all kind of starts over except for sloppier. Gambler's dodge is a problem. The thing about the tumbling animation being "evasive" is that you'd still be shooting someone while they were tumbling and it just wouldn't count because "breaks tracking" somehow ended up meaning "eats bullets." So with that it was one of those things where people were thinking they were being more deft than they actually were. Its also one of those things that gives an even bigger advantage when the game gets laggy for whatever reasons that it might. I really think that overall its going to make things more interesting and really make it so the players are actually the ones doing stuff more instead of just everybody mashing buttons then wondering why it turns into a mess sometimes.

In PVE they are suicidal save maybe middle arc, for the exact reason you mentioned: stuck in animation. ‘Oh but hammers strikez can dedufz pve d00dz!’ Yeah so can’t a hundred other things. Plus you want debuffs on bosses, which again may be suicidal. God Bungie. Test -blam!- before you reach into the hat of wonders to see what you’re going to -blam!- up next.
