This is a big issue in PvP. It has only gotten worse since cross play was implemented. There need to be a fix for it or cross play removed. I know that you know or should know there is an issue. The fact that you don’t speak of it say more then you ever could.

6 通の返信Having Peer to Peer is a death sentence for sure. Getting past that, remember control and some game types try to match connection based first. Others like Iron banner do not. The easy fix for this is to simply implement a ping system on bungies end. IF the ping is over so many ms, that person is not connected into the game. If their ping goes up in the game, they are removed. However, easy fixes are not bungies thing.

2 通の返信I have gotten around 40,000 pvp kills this season alone. The matchmaking has changed and impacted the game to the point that I have moved on until they decide to fix it. Every single game has rubber banding players from the other side of the world. Every single time I queue solo I stand at the front with a 2.9-3.10, to my left and right are 0.0s. Brand new players. Or the bottom 5%. Enemy team are all average or above. The game is forcing a 50% win/ loss on me. Its punishing me for being above average. The result? Lag. I have a great rig with a lil 3070ti. Wired connection. Fast speeds. Other games run like a dream. Pve in d2 runs fine. Yet I queue into pvp and im forced to sweat and carry vs laggy players because thats how they have decided the experience to be. Not to mention them removing 9 of my favourite maps last year. Its honestly so sad. I dont often post, I love the game. Bungie make great games but Im speechless at the direction of core modes and the direction of pvp the past 2 years. Sandbox changes mean 0 to me when fundamentally, it is punishing me for having a good connection, good hardware and being a good player. I have paid them thousands in silver/ dlcs/ store / 6000+ hours in game across the series/ platforms. What does it get me? It gets me regression in matchmaking, maps, modes, rewards, connection. I pray they fix it in all honesty.

5 通の返信JazzyPaladin477により編集済み: 11/17/2021 8:55:11 PMYup. Sice cross play came in, zero reduction in matchmaking time and exponentially more lagging players. Reported 27 players in last iron banner for poor connections. 1 or 2 in every match jittering around the map taking no damage like overload captains. Usually top fragging players with Asian clan names strangely enough.

Yeah, pvp is an absolute lagfest. Get the most potato internet and win! I just cant see how anyone with great connection can enjoy pvp anymore. At least in Europe. For me, the lag is coming heavier and heavier reason to quit this game. There's barely any more pve content to play, so pvp is almost all interest I have with long season like this. Bungie pls, get those servers, its just awful to play. Otherwise, everything is good. Just do something about those connections.

77 通の返信Because for most of us, it has gotten dramatically better since crossplay dropped. You might want to check the connection on your end.

1 返信I honestly have no faith it'll ever be fixed at this point... laggy people been at a huge advantage for as long as I can remember back in D1. Probably has something to do with how their servers are configured or how the hit reg is coded or something.

3 通の返信Something about PS players that piss me off cus they're constantly looking like taken thralls in pvp
-
5 通の返信Agreed. It's especially infuriating hitting an enemy directly with an explosive, and then watching them teleport and kill you.
-
6 通の返信Tbh I don’t get all the complaints about the connections. I have good internet. I rarely see lag. It’s like one lagging player once every 10 games. If you have lag on a regular basis you might want to check your connection before you blame others.
-
I play on PC and PS, and I rarely see lag in either. MAYBE one person lagging in every 5 matches or more. I play mostly 6v6 pvp though. Trials has always been way more laggy in my experience, not sure if it's people manipulating their connections on purpose for an advantage or something else. I'd say I'm a pretty bad pvp player, but it's very rare that I can blame my deaths on lag.
-
I've seen and posted on this same topic multiple times its not only lag from Playstation players but it's gotten worse since they forced everyone to play crossplay I shouldn't have play all the sweaty games against mandk your supposed to be able to go and pick up your controller and enjoy pvp without sweating against Master Elo players . They need to address both issues laggy servers and crossplay or u see alot of people not playing

13 通の返信The only way Bungle can resolve this is to finally ditch their Halo era 2008ish Peer to Peer Network and implement Regional Dedicated Host Servers. But they won't. Bungle is simply hoping to keep Destiny people paying and playing with no changes until 2025, when they will release their new Matter IP.

Agreed. I’ve been playing other games since there is nothing to do. But if I do play pvp I turn cross play off. It has been significantly worse since the introduction of cross play. It’s absurd they force you into it for trials. It also feels like they greatly inflate matchmaking times with cross play off. It didn’t take 5 minutes to find a qp game before cross play. Why does it now? Forcing us to use sub par systems to play is a scumbag move.

3 通の返信Tbf if you are serious about PvP you dont play Destiny 2. Destiny 2 is more about the total experience of a mmo-fps type game.

A_moにより編集済み: 11/17/2021 7:56:47 PMIt's actually gotten better since cross play was implemented. When crossplay first came out it was baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad. I don't know about you but I had people not even facing the direction they were shooting. Stuff like that isn't happening anymore. And tbh it was quite funny sometimes to the point it was almost worth it.
