It's not addiction
It's not Stockholm syndrome or masochism.
You just enjoy the destiny experience.
And that's OK
That's why this game is still one of the most played games on Xbox, on playstation, on pc.
🤷
It's OK to enjoy the game, despite its many many issues.
There's some good stuff here as well.

1 返信You’re right. It could just be so much more. They always take 1 step forward and then 3 steps back.

4 通の返信I like the IDEA of destiny. I just dont like how that idea is being handled and put into the game. Thats why i get burnt out really quick and leave the game periodically. Hell now i only REALLY play tuesday on reset (until i hit light cap) then log back in friday if Xur has anything worth while.

Despite the many issues, in my opinion, I see in the game, I think it offers something not many others can. Yes content can be sparse at times but the gameplay, the live service set up, still offers just enough to make the game replayable. I tried Halo Infinite MP; not my cup of tea really, absurdly high or low TTK depending what weapon you use, nade spam supreme to the point it makes Mayhem look boring, but it can be fun if you play with friends or man a lot of vehicles. Different strokes I guess. I tried New World; walking simulator with stupid fetch and return quests, uninstalled. Even went back to Elder Scrolls but it's boring killing and fetching the same thing. Outriders released a free dlc but the game is dumpster juice so do I even want to go back? I am not a fan of forced meta and forced anti champ mods in PVE but at least the seasonal weaponry is a little bit interesting. Once they flesh out crafting, if we can craft how we want that will be pretty interesting too. Playing with friends in D2 is also pretty fun, so ultimately it's about finding a good balance between D2 and another game that fits the bill to prevent burn out.

AbsolutZeroGIにより編集済み: 11/18/2021 5:18:35 AMI like my friends, that's why I keep playing D2. If I didn't have a D2 crew, I would've left this game eons ago. Also, people can become addicted to video games. That's a real thing doctors and psychologists acknowledge as a real life problem.

6 通の返信I’m taking a break until the Anniversary Pack comes out. That’ll be new and refreshing.

destiny is a good game but not married to it. i don't care about fomo crap and usually take breaks between season(s). no hatred here, it's not perfect but not broken and definitely can get better. 30th anni and witch queen are meh for me so i'll see what the future seasons have to offer. or if my homies decide to come back.

2 通の返信Well duh. I like the good parts of the game but I want Bungle to fix the bad parts. What's irritating is that they don't.

29 通の返信Its more people have made a investment into the game, its not because they per say like it its a sunk cost. Its the same feeling you get when you pay $30 for a movie ticket and keep watching the movie. You could leave and do something better for 2 hours but decide to stay as you spent money. Its pretty basic, doesn’t mean people “like” or “enjoy” the game.

2 通の返信Destiny is good. The PvE loot reward structure and the PvP is just badly execute in today's age. Game's fun. The endgame and PvP just needs work.

13 通の返信For some people, yes. They do legitimately enjoy playing the game for whatever reason. That is fine. What isn't fine is that Bungie has, so transparently and seemingly without their knowledge of being so, instilled a gambling addiction into the game with a smile on their face. Keep in-mind, I'm saying they don't realize how transparent their gambling system is. They are fully aware there's a gambling system and are happy to take all the money they can from it. FOMO is the biggest factor for their gambling. You spent $60 to play a full-game. That game boils down to doing the same thing over and over and over again in the hopes that you get the item you want with each run. It's the same as sitting at a slot machine and pulling the same lever over and over and over again in the hopes you hit that jackpot. Then, they place the exact same slot machine right next to you for another $60 and that's a minimum. It's the same thing with a new name and some color changes to make it seem different but it isn't. Once you've gotten over the flashing lights and deafening sounds, equating to about 90 minutes of actual new content in the "campaign" mission, you're right back to pulling that lever over and over and over again. So, you're right and wrong. For some, it is a legitimate enjoyment of the game and that's fine. For many, it is an addiction that they simply cannot miss-out on because of the single-most powerful driving force when it comes to gambling.. That being the question a person asks his/herself, "What if?" What if this time it's different? What if this time I get what I want? What if this time I hit the jackpot? That's what FOMO is and Bungie knows exactly what they're doing. They're just not very good at hiding it.
