I'm still matching up against unrealistically good players for my skill level. I don't know what bungie claim to have done, but trials is as impossible as ever for me.
If you're a skilled player that manages to go flawless often, and you wanna give me a hard time, your comments are not welcome here and will be ignored.

This isn’t communist Sweden where your feelings matter. If you’re bad then you’ve got no one to blame but yourself for your lack of 1. Talent 2. skill 3. Ability.

1 返信I played Trials for the first time yesterday, and went Flawless with a fireteam. My suggestion would be to get a Fireteam together with voice chat, coordinate your exotics so you can help each other out, and then you’ve got a good chance at winning regardless of matchmaking. We went up against a variety of players, and won every match because of our coordination. I’m not great at PvP myself, so I feel like this advice applies to you too. Best of luck mate

1 返信Can I help you play better? I'm far from a top player but I could help you get into a position where you feel more confident about your own abilities. I can show you strats/positioning/timing/weapons/when to push etc.

7 通の返信I've never known a company like Bungie go to so much trouble to keep a game mode from being fair and competitive. Trials doesn't need endless lab tests, all it needs is SBMM and it's completely fixed. Why else would you keep recording players ELO, KD ratio, win ratio if you are not going to use SBMM. I still cannot honestly understand how in endgame PvP this isn't how players are measured?
-
that’s kinda the point man. Whether you like or it not, for whatever reason, people are performing better than you. The whole game mode is centered around players’ competition. You don’t have to like it but that’s what it is.

I'm not the most skilled of pvp players.. but do hold my own most times.. my question is with it being end game pvp what is it you are expecting? If you're a .5 or something kd are you expecting to only go against .5kd's and below? If that is the case then what's to stop me from absolutely tanking my stats each week for easy flawless loot.. what are you expecting them to do? The flawless pool is a joke and only harms mid tier players like myself.. so that needs to be removed!

5 通の返信Same. I've had decent success the last few months farming golf balls on my 7 win flawed cards, but today I played 45 games and won 14 and got only one golf ball, several times I got literally nothing but a core. Wtf???????? Also, the last 19 matches were blowout losses against 3 stack gods, or if I were not against stacks, my teammates had no idea how to play pvp, much less trials. Several times my teammates went 0.0 kd while I went positive. What the -blam!- happened to the flawless pool? I feel like I'm playing in it. Something is broken as -blam!-

2 通の返信Playing against better players eventually makes you a better player. I play in the flawless pool (usually going flawless after the pool is activated, which is easy mode), knowing my -blam!- is going to be handed to me on a beautifully crafted plate... But I get better because I have no choice but to try and be better. It is about getting better to earn the win, not being entitled to the win.

2 通の返信I've never gone flawless, did Bungie promise flawless runs for every participant?

14 通の返信Stop this narrative of class against the masses. So far 390k players played trials and 117k went flawless. That's more than 1 in 4 players who played trials went flawless.

This comment is not to belittle or give you a hard time but trials is meant to be the PvP endgame the rewards are meant to be the best of the best personally I only have 2 flawlesses but I still play each week maybe instead of saying that you’re being matched with people above your skill level look at what you’re doing (not saying you’re skill-less) be more careful on how you take gunfights trials while having matchmaking will always be a communication based game mode just like a raid and even then if you’re put up against high skill players you can learn from it look back at how you took a gunfight ask what you could’ve done different and even if you still lose you gain rep for rewards in the form of rank ups if you want to try and get better maybe try to play comp with weapons that aren’t sunset, learn a loadout, and learn when to change it up. It’s not gonna be easy to get flawless and that’s the point but just as it isn’t easy it isn’t impossible either sometimes the stars align and you get lucky or get a good teammate keep your eyes up guardian look forward to hearing about your first flawless

21 通の返信I think right now all they’ve done is go back to having the Flawless pool that starts up Sunday on reset. There is no system in place to lobby balance you with people of a similar skill or record. Such a system is one that would hurt some players and not really benefit anyone except maybe it possible to lose less, or lose less badly. Which that is a step up for some players. Bungie has yet to say the goal of Trials is no longer to be an elite activity. They do want to make the losing experience better, but they don’t want to completely sacrifice being able to go flawless. So I guess you need to ask yourself what you personally want from Trials. If it is to go Flawless, nothing Bungie can do can make it easier for a solo or less skilled player to go Flawless, unless they only match YOU with objectively less skilled opponents, which then how is it fair to those players. If your goal is non-adept gear and pinnacle level loot, then just put in the matches. Eventually you’ll get the 50 points and over a weekend could scrounge up 7 total wins on a passage. In the mean time you gain rank and get engrams from Saint you can focus. Go in expecting to lose, so every win comes as a pleasant surprise/bonus.

3 通の返信I don’t like it. I can’t see any reason to waste time on it. It’s a game, it’s supposed to be entertaining and it don’t find trials entertaining. I don’t think I’m missing much and likewise I don’t think I’ll be missed. It’s no big deal. I am not convinced giving the best players the best weapons helps PvP much either. Maybe that part of the reward structure needs to be reconsidered.

1 返信Just don’t play it. Halo is out give it a try. It is so nice playing a balanced PvP mode. Destiny could be great but it is so unbalanced and cheesy that it is just not that fun.

Trials isn’t only about going flawless. You can literally earn loot without ever even winning a game. Should I be able to solo queue in to a GM nightfall with my stompees, arc staff, palindrome and sniper and no champion mods or experience doing nightfalls and expect to get loot? No Can I take that loadout in to made a hero NF and complete it and get loot? Yes. So why do casuals think they can go in to trials with limited experience and bad loadouts and expect to get the best possible loot. Sheesh

12 通の返信If you feel that Trials is elitist then it is doing its job. Trials is supposed to separate the great from the good, or at least it was in practice before people wanted gold medals for placing third and fourth. When everyone is celebrated, no one is celebrated.
