Freelance in every game mode, should be permanent. That is where you implement sbmm. What you will gain is a more diverse player base, and give new players a chance to develop. Then they can form teams and go up against others with the same advantage in team mode play where the loot pool opens up with premier rolls and weapons. FREELANCE IS THE FUTURE BUNGIE!

  • No Trials freelance was fun but I don’t think every playlist should have it Splitting the playerbase is generally not ideal

  • You will never grow the player base with the current structure. Do we want more players or not?

  • Freelance won’t bring players in And even if it did, not much would change because it would split the players so we would essentially have the same problem on our hands

    Well I hate to break it to you, but no freelance keeps me out of trials. I’m not going in as a solo with the disadvantage of playing against teams. I doubt I’m the only guy. Look at the numbers when we had freelance available. I played a sh^t ton personally. Haven’t touched it since. Keep it the same, worry about splitting a player base instead of growing one and watch trials die…again. 🤷🏼‍♂️

  • Yeah but that doesn’t matter Think about it, if twice the people played on a freelance week and played in freelance, there would still be the same amount of people per pool so it wouldn’t change anything

  • More players=more teams in the long run. Look dude, you want this to stay the same. Well, how has that worked out so far? My argument is factual. Yours is speculative, because permanent freelance has not been done. Trials has officially died twice with the current model. Do you really think it will be different this time? Bottom line…what do we have to lose? No risk, no reward.

Curiosity was likely to drive the numbers up from the previous week. It was still about 200k less than the first week. It would have been interesting to have it run a few consecutive weeks to see if there was a trend. There’s freelance and SBMM in the glory playlist, but the number of players playing the mode is low because there’s no unique incentive IMO, the real driver of trials engagement is loot incentive. If they refreshed the loot pool right now you would see a massive jump in numbers, but then it will continue to decline week after week as casual players get all the drops they want and completely disengage from the mode.

  • Your right, 1 week does not tell the story…but the other 3 weeks sure does.🤣 Chop it up however you want, freelance will draw more players and we all know it. Keep the lighthouse available for team mode only and give solos a chance to develop, instead of sending them into a meat grinder. One has a future and one does not.✌🏼

One has a future and one does not.✌🏼[/quote] Freelance may draw players initially, but it didn’t draw as many players as week 1 and that’s a fact. Whatever format they bring to trials it will always continue to decline because there will always be a significant cohort who are only there for loot pursuit and when that loot is acquired they will be done. It wouldn’t be right to have no access to the lighthouse for freelance. You still gotta win 7 in a row and if you do that in freelance it’s just as valid as in team. The majority of solos (the ones complaining about trials mm) don’t appear to want to develop. They don’t play elim and they don’t play comp and they persist playing solo instead of finding some people to play with regularly. They seem to just want a less painful time trying to acquire the loot, which is totally understandable. With the current format the only real way to keep people coming back is regular loot updates. Maybe though, they should just reimagine the whole mode and dispense with the whole flawless concept, which really has only ever been a catalyst for cheating, recoveries and carries. I dunno.

  • Twice? Once And the current model has been vastly changed since the playlist died I’m not necessarily against freelance every once in a while, but the purpose of trials is to play with a team It is a team based mode

  • And permanent freelance trials will fix anything? Leave it as it is, let it pop up every now and then, let the solos who are too scared of teams get their loot and then for the rest of the time just don't have freelance.

    I’m not saying it will. I’m simply stating that the current model has failed before and will do so again without change. News flash for ya pumpkin…when you play solo, you are still on a team. 🙄 You just don’t have the ADVANTAGE of comms. I keep hearing folks say the same stuff… Man up and get a team. It’s a team activity…bla bla bla. Kinda hard to do for new players most of the time, ya know. But if you had freelance, it would give a new player a chance to meet others interested in the same activities. How could that hurt, btw? I think the guys who object to freelance are the ones who are terrified that their curb stomp will disappear and they will have to play other teams on a level playing field. And man have I heard good players cry about that on the reg around here. “It’s too sweaty”😭 Sound familiar? That is exactly what you will end up with (again) when the player base shrinks (again), after new players are sick of playing a game mode where they have no chance to get better because they are getting their sh^t kicked in every match. Adapt or die my man.

  • Why would new players be in trials? If they are new that's the last place I would send them. Also I'm -blam!- at trials, I don't want freelance because it splits up the pool which is objectively worse. If it comes around every now and then it I genuinely think it would do better

  • Why wouldn’t they want to is more the question? What’s so magical about trials?🤣 It’s 3v3. IB is 6v6 and has it, why not trials?🤔 Hey man, keep it for your teams and watch it dry up and die all over again. I’ll bet if you poll all the solos, most could care less. Just remember, there is no addition by subtraction here. You need to add to the base. Freelance with sbmming would produce just that. Leave team mode for the best loot and give the solo a reason to “get guf” and get a team.
