As someone that’s trans, specifically non-binary, I just wanted to say from the bottom of my heart how much I appreciate the recent attempts at inclusivity, awareness, and support. I’ll also be very much enjoying my 2 new emblems, thank you Bungie :)
(I also realize I’m entirely opening myself up to the queerphobic elements of the community, but I needed to say how much it meant, and I also refuse to hide for who I am)

4 通の返信While, yes, there have been quite a few -blam!- comments, but a majority of what I've seen is purely at HOW Bungie Mods handled this entire affair. Because it takes a train on it. > Veterans Day in America (Which Bungie is wholly aware of as an American company) - Bungie releases Trans Emblem on this day. > LGBT+ Community has its dedicated month earlier in the year. - Bungie is also aware of this. > Bungie Mods have a history have having certain biases. - Bungie Mod Code of Conduct struck a thread for someone asking for a Vet Emblem. >> Mods w/ bias history + completely uncalled for CoC strike = -blam!- for community members. In all honesty, either complete incompetence of their PR persons, or malicious intent, created this fire. Americans heavily support the armed forces and first responders. Fire fighters getting the golden pedestal of all of them. Bungie has been a long standing company, and most certainly is aware of this. But in stead, released a trans emblem on Vet day, locked a Vet Emblem request thread with a CoC and did not handle the insuring fire. Taking all this into account most certainly would shine a light on Bungies in ability to actually be inclusive. As a side note, more of a grievance, the transcommunity is not some sort of back-ally community that needs to hid in basements at night. No, Trans-community has been in the spotlight for nearly a decade now. Almost every major company has expressed 'support' the community. At this point, it seems to be a need to hold onto this "I'm the underdog!" card. no. Walk around the block ,and you see that people just whine and whine all the time. Some times for good reasons and sometimes not.

1 返信Thank you for this post DarkestShad0w x; really well said. Yes, thank you to Bungie for trans awareness! It shows how much we need visibility throughout our communities still.

Hey, that's awesome! Though I must admit, I am tired of social justice issues being shoved into various entertainment. That said, I'm glad you feel welcomed
despite this community *coughs*
30 通の返信Everyone is included except Veterans. We are not included in bungie's little world view, which is not very inclusive, don't you think?

1 返信I’m rocking the emblem on my Hunter not only for awareness but because it looks cool. You be you. That’s all that matters.

35 通の返信it's honestly surprising just how awful the community is here given how openly supportive bungie is. I made a post on offtopic once about how I got admitted to the hospital after a suicide attempt and I mentioned I was trans, and the community still decided to witch hunt and shower me with hate, not just on that post either but pretty much any other post of comment I made on offtopic in general

1 返信You are absolutely welcome here, friend! Sorry about those that want to spread and maintain toxic angry hate... stay strong!

10 通の返信Mirage7853により編集済み: 11/12/2021 1:51:11 PMI was quite happy to see that emblem added. Stand in full support. Fun fact for all the mas and pas from down south I see on this post who for some reason are adding hate: in trans people before any of the work to transition has been done parts of the brain frequently already match the opposite gender

1 返信I hope you feel accepted and included by the playerbase too. I know some people are toxic and queerphobic, or just plain rude, but there are many in this community that support you and want you to be able to just be yourself :)

1 返信I'm sure many Guardians will join me in wishing you and your gender all the luck you deserve.....

1 返信hey man this community kinda dog sometimes as you can tell from the comments but just keep trying to spread the positivity :) hearts to all my people out there

3 通の返信It breaks my heart to see all of the hate and downvotes on your amazing post and supportive comments. Some people are so stuck in their own little grievances that they can't see beyond the end of their nose. The support for the LGBTQ+ community, along with all of the other marginalized folk, is one of the reasons that I am am such a supporter of Bungie. It was ever thus. And just for the snotnose rotters? People are being hunted and killed every damn day in this world for being themselves - Black, Latino, LGBTQ, Asian, and Women. We can't show a little love and support and raise money for organizations that support them? Bite me. I got you DarkestShadow. I don't post very often, but this one compelled me by my heartstrings. From an OG GothGrrrl.

17 通の返信Infamous067により編集済み: 11/12/2021 11:19:02 PMThis is the 21st century, the new generation could care any less who or what you are. I think a bigger issue is censoring veterans day because apparently thats an automatic censorship but promoting transgender is totally fine. I personally don’t need anyone to praise what Ive done and I could care any less if they appreciate what Many veterans have done. My issue is censoring our accomplishments and sacrifice on our holiday and replacing it with a movement by handing out emblems. Not only do I feel offended but I find it rude. Thats like promoting black lives matter on Christmas day. Like duh of course black lives matter but its terrible timing to promote it on a holiday you know what I mean? Out of all the days in the year, bungie decides to grant free emblems on a holiday in which many of us true vets risked our life just so many could have the life they currently have. Of course not everyone joined for the right reasons but I at least did it to keep my family safe. Im sorry if I sound like a -blam!-, I meant no disrespect.

8 通の返信I deeply appreciate Bungie's efforts in increasing trans awareness. Rather or not Bungie should have wished everyone a happy veterans day, what happened last night was shameful and an embarrassment. To this community and to the veterans that the holiday represents. I can't find any past references to Bungie wishing the community happy Veterans day and in no year before has there been a riot over the omission. But this month they just happen to be celebrating trans awareness. This entire thing had nothing at all to do with Veterans Day and that a noble holiday was used as a soapbox for hateful rhetoric is a disgrace.

3 通の返信I love all the people who’re saying that this is an act of “shoving it down there throats” spend so much time diligently writing out complaints and entire essays about why some random comment on the internet bothers them. It’s pathetic really, they’ll throw an entire baby rage over an easily ignorable comment and pretend that they’re being forced to watch such with their eyes pried open.

1 返信Its more about no caring about who you are x) We are in a gaming forum. We do not really need to know who you are. Nobody have any issue with you being you either. Its just none of our concern, and a true lack of priorities in this world. But i guess anything that isnt "yes gooood show your pride to everybody" is transphobic anyways.

20 通の返信No hate, but there are people out there dying in different regions of the world. Your cause is valid, but i think people should focus more on supporting lives that are on the line.
