So you are 100% aware that the word is also an insult and you still question why it's caught by the filter?
I can only insinuate what the word is, but if it's what I think it is...you know that people do not use it to mean "slow down"
It's censored for a reason...use synonyms and get over it.
It was blanked out because the word you are referring to is much more commonly used as an insult in gaming (and in many other activities as well), and almost everyone knows that it is. Here are just some of the over 80 alternatives that could be used:
Brake, decelerate, slacken, slow, halt, stop, encumber, hamper, handicap, hinder, hobble, hold back, hold up, impede, inhibit, obstruct, set back, tie up, bottleneck, arrest, check, constrain, curb, rein, restrain, baffle, foil, frustrate, sabotage, thwart. and so on.
These don't get censored because you don't see people posting "You Encumberer!", "You Hinderer!", "You Constrainer!" in an insulting way but you will see "You -blam-!" used that way all the time.
Sorry if Bungie threw a wrench in your gamer vocab. You could almost say they inhibited the use of a word that many find offensive in the context of the game. But if you really want to use the word again, try it on random people on the street if you think that will normalize its use, all in the name of supporting the right of free speech, of course.
Here's the good thing about that though, those people dont last long. Before you know it they're back into whatever game takes a special kind of -blam!- to play.
Looking at your post history, I don't see where this would mean "To Stop or Slow Down"
