Like we’re now at 1350+ power??? Like what the hell. Stop using power level as the only way to add challenge.

1 返信Yep, you start out and everything is difficult because you're under-powered. You are excluded from content. Then everything gets stupid easy and dull as you progress. Is this opposite land? Shouldn't it start easy when you're learning and get harder to keep you challenged? Then there's getting energy weapons for every pinnacle drop. After doing all the activities to earn an increase - not this time. Try again... and again... and again. This is my second time playing Destiny. This game seems designed to burn you out with this sort of futility. You start out loving it, then it wears you down as you put effort in and get nowhere. About to quit again, and I don't think I'll be back this time.

Icy Hot Todorokiにより編集済み: 11/8/2021 11:52:17 PMif they don't add power creep, then outside of weapon farms, there's nothing for those freeloading F2P New Lights to strive for whilst playing free content that most of us paid for when we got into this game

1 返信It’s annoying but if they just up and removed power level, what would this game even be?

Master8305により編集済み: 11/8/2021 1:42:48 AMi feel like enemies also get stronger and not just wait around but like add other ways im getting bored of googling every way of advancing to the next power level (currently figuring out how to get to 1309 from 1308)

Wandererにより編集済み: 11/8/2021 12:28:33 AMEach pve area could have difficulty levels that escalate the challenge and add new mechanics to the area. And to unlock and access the higher difficulty you'd have to complete challenges like beating something without dying, or finishing within a time limit, or finding secret areas, etc. It is more interesting to complete thoughtful challenges to unlock content than to just passively gain levels to access content.

1 返信Horizontal progression is boring and leads to players doing the same thing over and over for no reward. I played gw2 for 900 hours over lockdown and it's entirely horizontal progression, the game got extremely dry after 500 hours and I only stayed for the first I had made after that. While gear grinds aren't very inspired they at least give the player something to look forward to that isn't killing the same boss 5000 times because you've got nothing to work towards. Cosmetic rewards sound cool until you open up your cosmetic window and realize you only use about 1% of everything you've unlocked and you've been using the same xmog for 3 months. The grass is never greener, it's just another shade of the green you already have.

13 通の返信Yessss thank you for saying this. I 100percent agree. I made a post on this recently and a bunch of bozos said that they liked the power grind. I’m sick of it. We all should be tired of it by now.

7 通の返信For sure, it's annoying especially since they lock tons of activities behind a power wall that some can't reach
-
14 通の返信Just add difficulties, they are already kind of doing it with the nightfalls, it feels like they keep the stupid power system just to give a artificial boring grind, but some other games do grinding just fine with out a power level. but were talking about the same people that add a boring 6 player activity every season that will dissappear in a year instead of updating existing content and adding new maps and modes to that content, and when they finally add new genuine stuff they charge you for every little piece of content in their "free to play" game.

3 通の返信It's also meaningless because we aren't actually becoming more powerful. All enemies do the same damage and kill us just the same regardless of how high or how low our power is. As stated it's just another way to make us grind for something. It would be nice if us the guardians can actually be overpowered af like we're supposed to be. Like in outriders you're extremely powerful as one should be in this genre of game

8 通の返信Bungie literally has no clue how to get people to play without a treadmill. Someday a person in charge will spend the time to learn about horizontal progression systems and develop one for destiny. Then destiny 2 will only be a few years behind other games!

Honestly i dont mind power level dictating difficulty but what i dont mind is how pointless it has become it needs more incentive especially since high difficulty activities have a light cap anyways
-
3 通の返信It’s the only way to force players to keep playing. If you want to reach max light you have no choice but to play.

What really happened - They exhausted their up front content that was supported by levels in D1, the through HoW days. Knowing they couldn't create content fast enough to keep the same system, they went to LL. It's not supported by actual content, like you'd see in a true MMO. It's just a made up thing based in RNG that they use to keep people feeling like they're accomplishing something. How is your guardian any stronger now than it was 2 years ago? In D1 you could go back and solo Crota's End because of the true level difference. But they can't afford to let content become obsolete like that because there isn't enough to go around.

Yes I'd rather grind for pinnacle, and get power level up that way, I'm at 1356, hard cap is 1330 if i was 1370 and next season starts I'm back at 1330 lol, all that grinding for nothing, if they used pinnacle gear, they could set the next power cap ever month or so and put raids etc, power up each time so when you reach power level for the raid you can do it, until next power cap increase that way it gives you motivation to get your level up to do raid eg. again.
