Imagine, achieving a new low not only as a game but as a studio.
After years of recycling content, not providing anything new, anything fresh or creative, but the same microwave food and charging players $100 for it.
Imagine having a product that is inferior to most current products, to the fact that is so outdated not only from technical perspective, but also from design and business model perspective.
Imagine seeing others how they provide a top tier product with more content for just $70 as a fresh highly anticipated new game project, that will break new records, while you milking your outdated game dry and even ask for more money just for the expansion, while also removing the $40 content that your customers already paid for, so you can sell it again in a Deluxe Edition sometime in the future as recycled content.
A smart human being would try to find methods, how to improve the accessibility to new content for an old game like Destiny 2. Making it as cheap and transparent as possible, so not only to make the jump for old players and new players as welcoming as possible, but also interesting and easy (not the difficulty of the game).
You making the opposite, as hard as possible for new players and even more punishing for old players, because you literally force them to buy the $100 edition if they want to experience the whole game, the fact they supported you for all the years, you should at least, giving away the 30th Anniversary just for free.
But have it your way, you really trying hard to drop and split your player base.

I’m not saying it’s going to be TTK levels of hype, but to say that thousands you think are sheep got this expansion is ludicrous, when in reality, 80% of this community preordered it already, including the 30th anniversary bundle. If you don’t wanna play it, that’s fine. No one’s gonna miss you if you don’t.

5 通の返信Man look personally for the hours I spent on destiny 100€ are alright Because I know that I'll milk the F out of it. Now if it's alright to charge 100€ or not that's another story Personally I don't mind it some other players do. But in the end I love this game as much as I hate it I may sometimes say F destiny but I always keep playing it. And don't forget is 100€ because it's also the 30th anniversary if you take that out it's 80€ think of it like buying a new game once a year. And the reason I support it is because it's only 80€ once a year for a game I play countless hours almost everyday. Does it worth? To me yes. This game has been part of my life for the past 6-7 years and will continue to be, I created so many amazing memories and I've had such a great time with friendships I created around it that I wouldn't change it for anything. Just my humble opinion.

1 返信Unfortunately, this is a side effect of allowing New Lights to leech a F2P game and continue to take advantage of free content, which is almost everything. I was against this whole concept, and it's so easy to tell who they are...the ones that ruin PE's when you try to make them Heroic, the ones who don't know what to do when you toss them the orb in The Corrupted, or the one's roaming around on Pikes.

3 通の返信Guardian9324により編集済み: 10/29/2021 12:29:05 PMYou should know by now the people who are left playing this pile of dried up dog doo doo are the die hard fans that will fight back all day with “it’s my money get over it! I like eating garbage content that’s as stale as a 3 year old donut and paying premium price for it!!! Piss off!!” Your preaching to the converted friend, people with brains are gone, or just screwing around on here seeing how low this franchise go and how long the remaining playerbase can take it. It seems some will go to the grave for this game at the level of loyalty they show this game and how they show others they’re willing to drop big bucks on reskinned, trash content, that they then want you to elaborate on what they’re doing wrong and then proceed to try to make themselves (and you) feel justified in their purchase, it’s like an abusive lover to them lmfao, they’ll drop the cash on her, then she ditches them to sell her body again, this time with a few minior alterations. Or spits in their face by selling a gun for 30$ instead of giving it as a gift to their community for staying with them and spending their time and money on their very lack luster products.

3 通の返信I must admit, I'm here to see just how low Bungie is willing to sink. My ears be popping, the depths!
-
Vote with your feet. Bungie is a lost case since 2014. They planned to fleece you with Everworse at least since Luke Smith got to the helm controls and steered Bungie into the depth to get a worm. Now he has to feed the shareholders more and more from less and less. The light at the end of the tunnel is the train.

5 通の返信Yeah I'm dropping the game after 7 years. It's just not fun anymore. It also can be very frustrating at times, being the opposite of fun. I preordered the $100 pack and gonna get a refund from Sony Monday morning. I'm taking that money and buying Halo Infinite. The $30 dungeon and sunset/reissue bs have a lot to do with it. I spend about $200 a year on games and not much more. I keep that budgeted out. This year, that money is going to 343 and Halo Infinite, not Destiny, Bungie, or their shady businesa practices.

5 通の返信SuR_GalaChadにより編集済み: 10/29/2021 3:11:07 PMthe only players are left? You mean the thousands that already pre ordered the deluxe edition making it the highest selling expansion since Taken king. Or the thousands that sold out all the preorders of every version of the collectors edition in minutes? not sure where you are going here?

11 通の返信The 100$ edition end up being cheaper than the regular edition(even before the dungeon news) you know you Get all 4 season right ? It's a 100$ for a full year of content .... Just sound mad cause you won't get enough from Christmas to get it

Once development stopped it was the fans and community that kept the Halo name going. Oni was ahead of its time and the majority of the current player base have never heard of Marathon or Myth. Also the anniversary coming out during the Dawning or right before is just as insulting. The store will just be packed with -blam!-. Bungie as a whole is making a pretty penny while not really giving back

For me its more so a thing of they want me to sink a bunch of money into the game for a campaign that odds are even on legendary will be stupid easy and a couple hours of stuff to do max. If it was on gamepass like beyond light then sure, but there's just no way in hell I'd spend more than $35 bucks for it given how destiny expansions tend to be great for the first 6 hours of game play then just a whole lot of nothing after
