The title pretty much sums it up. Stasis is (after several nerfs STILL) too powerful. And it's always going to be overpowered as long as it's in the game. Let's just take a moment to think about this logically. You've taken a game that is objectively far more centered around movement than gunplay, and added the ability to freeze opponents with a bunch of abilities that really aren't that difficult to use - and as if that wasn't bad enough, players gain extra damage against a frozen target who can't fight back, killing a frozen target basically wipes anyone else next to them as well, and if the enemy player is a hunter then forget it, they'll have shatterdived before the game even shows you being frozen. There's nothing fun about dying over and over again because a bunch of brainless revenants are running around with shatterdive. This weekend in particular trials has been absolutely miserable. It's one thing to make a mistake in a gunfight, but it's an entirely different level to be killed because your opponent threw a mindless stasis ability at you and then killed you while you were a sitting duck.
I've been trying for nearly a year now to enjoy post beyond light pvp but ultimately it just isn't fun. I seem to recall reading in some TWABS that Bungie didn't want Destiny to be a game that was all about abilities, and yet...stasis. Honestly I think the real reason that they're charging so much for year 5 is so they can snort cocaine during work hours, because that's the only explanation for how anyone thought stasis was a good idea. I'm ultimately really disappointed about this because at the core I think destiny is an amazing game with really fun gunplay, but now I don't even think I'm going to buy witch queen because I'm not sure I see myself playing this game a year from now - especially considering how poorly optimized it is running in 100fps on my RTX3080 when literally every other game on my computer runs 165 no problem. I mean come on for how expensive this game is, is it really to much to ask that it's properly coded for high end hardware?
It all basically comes down this bungie: stasis has no place in a fast paced fps game. If you truly care about your game, admit that you f***ed up and remove stasis, or at least disable the stasis subclasses in pvp.

2 通の返信The only stasis thats still busted is the revenant hunter, shatter dive is the very last busted stasis ability in the game. Titans and warlocks are fairly balanced, if anything, they both need buffs because they sort of suck for a balanced class. Warlocks could use slightly better tracking and titans need a buff on their slide because there is just no reason to ever use them over light subclasses.

2 通の返信Whoever designed stasis obviously has no intention of ever playing the game. It must have been designed during a drinking game. It's mind blowing. And why even give the option to break out of the freeze if it takes 3 seconds plus an animation lock. Trying is pointless

1 返信Stasis has been a pain in the -blam!- from the nanosecond it came out. I didn't usually play PvP that much when Stasis was first released, but when I did, Stasis was EVERYWHERE. It made the already stressful crucible even worse & it absolutely DESTROYED Mayhem Clash. It might not be spammed as much as it was in the beginning, but there are still plenty of people who spam it. The one and ONLY legit reason for using Stasis in PvP is if a quest requires it. Other than that, If you use it in PvP, you're garbage. Period. #StasisIsForScrubs

-blam!- stasis. It's this BS Cross play and the delay. Imagine a games PvP struggling while being on single platforms now Bungie add crossplay? Get dedicated servers first but nope! Their PvP player base is so tiny that they were force us to play crossplay. PvP is garbage right now.

26 通の返信What PvP needs is a game mode without any supers end of. This would show the true players in the crucible.

3 通の返信It's easy to use because ape is meta It's easy to counter if you just don't ape :)

5 通の返信Im kinda glad they introduced it. I have pretty much quit all together and dont have to feel bad about it. I wonder sometimes if they are pumping laughing gas into the air vents at Bungo. How could so many people think freezing helplessly in pvp was a good idea...and fun...?

I see people complaining about this, but honestly, if it wasn't one, it's another. There were complaints about tether being disabled in PvP, blade barrage, Nova Bomb, Chaos Reach - you name a super/grenade/melee, it had it's detractors. The best we can do, and what I've found successful is just adapting your game play. There are people out there who are still successful and consistent in spite of the rampant use of stasis, so it's definitely not impossible. Plus, it gives me motivation to go after them with a vengeance the next time I see them.

Bungie: I know what words you typed, but what I'm hearing is "nerf Shadebinder and Behemoth and then create a Hunter exotic which fully refills their grenade energy if they even think about throwing a grenade".

I feel cod space magic should have pvp only skill tree. And I feel bungie should add an arena mode. Both would greatly improve pvp, and would grow the community. Arena mode could save destiny. It would be the greatest arena pvp game (sorry halo I still love you)

Only Shatterdive(glacier nades really) is the main issue.

7 通の返信Granted Shadebinder is broken, but all Revenant has is Shatterdive (which is getting nerfed), and Behemoth has nothing at all. I really don't see this as much of an issue, it's just one subclass that's a problem.

sunder202により編集済み: 10/24/2021 6:09:40 PMShattercrutch hunters are the last remnant of stasis that hasn't been completely neutered, and that's a coming. If this sad version of stasis is still to much for you it's not stasis, it's you
