Cross save only showing xbox account and not steam account anymore
Created a xbox account with game pass and wanted to transfer steam account using cross save.
xbox account cross save didn't work, tried going onto my steam account and then found out that my characters linked to the steam account are gone i am guardianless help me

You've set up cross save backwards. You selected the XBox account to be the cross save account which means you will only see your XBox D2 game progress when logging in on XBox/PC and Steam. If your intention was to make the Steam account the cross save account so you could play your Steam characters on XBox/PC then you will need to disable cross save, wait 90 days, then re-enable it and pick the Steam account as the cross save account.

seems you selected the wrong account as the primary one. there used to be a way to have bungie change it but apparently they've stopped doing that. there used to be a 'contact us' button at the bottom of [url=https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/360049498031-Destiny-2-Cross-Save-Guide]this page[/url] where you could request them to change it but they removed it. in any case, go to that page and read carefully, it will tell you what you need to do.
