Now, I don't work for Bungie, so, realistically I can't say for sure what you are doing, but an observation:
Whenever a nerf comes across pvp, it happens in pve. Why? Like 95% of pve has been fine, balance-wise. Sure Telesto keeps needing to be blasted because it has become sentient at this point, and some things like stasis freezing did need to be nerfed into oblivion but I have alot of fun with my characters in pve, but with nerfs going all around it just makes the pve side alot less enjoyable, and exotics a lot more useless. Why even chase after them, or exert extra effort if they're just destined to essentially be a restricted legendary piece of armor? What's the point of higher light when we never truly become more powerful over enemies in the PvE side? Exotics and abilities help with that... Until they're nerfed.
Its not hard to separate between pvp and pve. When nerfing, 95% of the time, its only pvp that needs it. That's it. That's also less work and time needed, which allows for better focus of that work and time, which allows for a better result for pvp.
Like I said, I can't surely know what's going on without being an employee, that's just what I've been observing.

3 通の返信Well if the nerfing was actually about game balance and not just shifting the meta there wouldn't be nearly as many issues. But I totally agree, there is no good reason to nerf the PvE side of things. The reason we grind for the powerful weapons is to feel powerful, just like any other RPG type game.

2 通の返信They took my second Icarus dash away in PvE for no reason whatsoever and there are idiots who will tell me "wElL yOu diDnT nEeD a sEcOnD oNe tHeRe aNyWaY!" because apparently having fun in PvE isn't required 😞

32 通の返信Only pvp needs nerfs? You mean these following nerfs were caused by pvp: Xenophage (PVE) Ikelos shotgun (PVE/Gambit) One 2 punch (Gambit/PVE) Whisper of the worm (PVE) Sleeper simulant (PVE/Gambit) Plus they separated the sandboxes already for the most part, what? Are you sad you can't shotgun an add that runs in a straight line anymore from 10 meters away? Now it's 9.5 Please remind me why the weapons listed above were not caused by the pve Community? Or even better, let's move back to year one in everything since you all seemed so happy about it 😊

1 返信Jinxにより編集済み: 10/13/2021 9:13:27 AMI made a post earlier the people could not get that it wasn't about vex. About how to actually nerf over dominant weapons without breaking them. I compared vex in d2 to how it was nerfed at the beginning of d1 and left to rot and also mentioned forgotten howl. It's quite simple. If a primary weapon becomes too powerful in pvp... make it take special ammo in pvp. That forces the player in many cases to choose between that still very good weapon and a special weapon such as sniper rifles like the chaperone, or fusion rifles. You'll have to choose one or the other. The beauty of this is you don't have to touch the weapon physics. Because in destiny once something has been nerfed it will never be touched again. If a future meta change removes what was making an over performing weapon mitigated by new events they can just toggle it back to regular ammo. To mention vex, if it has a problem it is that you can spam fire it with its massive magazine to lock down a lane, and you can't wait for a reload and push because there will be a shotgun or sniper waiting for you. Making it a special weapon in pvp means they can't run that shotgun too because of ammo split rules, thus meaning the player is left open for a rush during reload. There are still hand cannons, side arms, smgs that will cover your cqc but nothing that will secure a one hit kill like a sniper or shotty. Almost every primary exotic that has EVER been nerfed could have been dealt with like this with no ill effects for pve and a simple reversion in pvp if need calls. This would have been a problem in d1 because of the three weapon type system but for d2 its easy.

1 返信Or bungie can ask Division how to separate weapons for pvp and pve they can save trials instead frustrated struggle for 7 year with trails that waste time

You do realize the majority of nerfs now stem from pve right? The same pve players that use the same OP loadout 100% of the time get things like Anarchy nerfed. Additionally you do realize the majority of changes have been separated since Foradaken too? That’s 3 years ago.

3 通の返信If Vex ever drops for me, I feel bad for you guys. Because I can ASSURE you at that moment, it will BE NERFED TO DUST!!!! It never fails.

1 返信They still have the idea that both modes should feel mostly the same. Stupid game design when it’s caused nothing but issues for years. One of the only complaints I’d say the community is completely right on like in pve vex is up there in power but not a must pick especially once this seasons over but it needs adjustment in pvp

Everyone keeps asking but bungie keeps saying that it would ruin the feel since they want it to feel consistent. Personally I think there are technical limits and bungie donts want to invest the time and money into separating the 2 sandboxes.

you think a studio that delete most gears so they don't have to balance like 7 pinnicale guns in pvp will put resources in that just so the game can make sense? na, obviously a shotgun that only hurt a hive at 5 meters makes pve a more balanced place, 120 getting less precision damage in pve? too op anyway, and an exotic ar hard light with damage fall off because it destroies raid bosses, it all make sense, much needed, 4 years of sandbox change, definitely not 4 years of pve compromise with pvp
