55 clears, 51 hours, 4 months.
This is the amount of clears I have, time I have spent, and months since Vault of Glass, released. I still have not gotten the Vex Mythoclast. To think that Bungie simply makes raid exotics random drops just to keep players playing their game is ridiculous. That’s how you make players quit the damn game. Much like I am going to. To think I have spent upwards of about 51 hours (2 days, 3 hours) inside the raid just trying to get some PRIMARY EXOTIC FUSION that is absolutely broken in the Crucible is ridiculous. Shame on you Bungie for wasting my time. Fix the drop rates.

10 通の返信This post is fake. Why? because the drop rate increases by 2% every time you dont get it to drop. Per character. So assuming you did 55 clears across 3 characters, you would have gotten a 100% chance at 50 clears. A 100% chance is 100%, doing 55 clears and not having it is literally impossible. And the percentile increase works, everybody's reporting it working. It doesn't just suddenly not work for you and you only. People should be downvoting you.

3 通の返信I just got to 53 clears without it dropping today myself. I agree, this is pretty ridiculous. Why not have a bad luck protection for it to drop at 30 clears? That's 10 weeks of doing the raid on all 3 characters every week at minimum. But here you and I are, on the cusp of doubling that. That's 5 months of doing that God forsaken raid. -Another exhausted Guardian

6 通の返信Honestly the drop rate needs to increase every successful run. Even it’s a small increase like 1%. Start the drop rate at 5% and have it go up every-time you clear the raid. Hell, you could even limit the drop rate increase to one character per week. I just don’t understand why you would actively punish hard-core players like this. The items are not “rare” when someone can literally get it to drop on their first clear.

2 通の返信Man some of these comments are harsh. Poor guy. Just let him vent, if you don’t have anything nice to say then shut up. I don’t have it either man, and I have maybe 12 clears only. I’m already done with it hahaha. It’s not worth my time. I’ll be taking a break from the game and playing something else. Funny I just came back to playing after taking 3 years off. First Knightfall I did I got 3 exotics and then the next one I got 2 exotics and 2 catalyst drops. Probably all to keep me playing, which I did. Now I’m barely getting any good drops. So I think Bungie definitely has some sort algorithm in place to get players to play longer and then grind as your RNG gets worse. I guess it’s all what the game is built on and about…?

60 runs, 51 looted and still nothing, it does feel really bad to see someone get it first try or in their first 10 runs, when you take them through the raid and after 51 you still don’t have it. It deters from the experience, would like a system to guarantee it after 50 runs at least.

Posts like these are exactly why I don't bother raiding in this game. The insistence on RNG raid exotics is such a huge turn off to raiding. Especially when the raid exotics often require seasonal perks to actually be truly useful.

If im right, week 43 should grant 100% chance providing that you did at least 1 clear every week. Doing 2nd/3rd characters every week doesnt add to the cumulative %. You can lookup the twab back in march/april when they detailed bad luck protection after fixing a bug in dsc and take an educated guess at what the actual drop rate is (they dont give out the specific numbers).

2 通の返信You’re complaining that you didn’t get it, yet you continued to play; that it’s broken, yet that you want it? What a concentrate of contradictions. As much as I believe random drops on raid exotics are absurd past a reasonable number of completions, see you next week.

That should have some type of system for GMs and Master raids that make the second half of the week easier by bringing the power level down by -20 for anyone that hasn’t cleared it. They should also raise the power level to +20 for those that have cleared it for the second half of every week.

2 通の返信Looks like I'm the only one to agree the OP. I suggest you go ask the content creators/youtubers/streamers how they got theirs so quickly. They're ALL using them in their videos. Hope you drop it soon anyway 🤞.
