Only a matter of time...
Edit: To the people that don't see the pattern, the shatterdive is getting used a lot more by hunters everyday thanks to Trials and I have seen this pattern when one ability becomes the only ability that is viable in pvp and how popular it is, cause i've seen a lot of highlights from content creators. And those have known Bungo for a while, when an ability becomes too popular with its usage, Bungo is not gonna have any of that.

HolyRoller1313により編集済み: 10/1/2021 8:43:48 PMI honestly don’t even know why hunters have it. It makes sense for Titans given their focus on stasis crystals, and it WOULD make sense for warlocks given that they are supposed to be experts on freezing and shattering. Meanwhile Hunter can freeze, create crystals, and shatter with more efficiency than either of the other two classes even though its focus was supposed to be on slowing enemies. I’m not saying it’s bad that they have it, just that it’s beyond effective even compared to the Titan’s slide. That’s not even considering that Warlocks for whatever reason don’t have a shatter ability. I’m hoping there’s a lot of tuning that will actually put classes into their roles more. Like yeah the Warlock has a shatter blast on the super with a city block’s radius, but that doesn’t help when the tracking misses half the time (especially in PVE) and the tiny radius on those little bolts. Both GQ and SS have better freezing power than the class that’s actually supposed to be freezing enemies lol. Here’s some ideas: Hunter: Silence puts up a very large slow field that will slow into a freeze rather than instafreezing, and squall would possibly stay in the slow field’s radius. I also think it should be doing more damage in PVE, red bars shouldn’t take that long for a super to kill. Imagine if Nova Bomb’s shitty vortex could move. It would be wacky. So if the Squall is gonna move, limit it (I also understand that it doesn’t have an initial damage burst like NB). I’d also say change some aspects to really emphasize slowing. Like maybe shatterdive wouldn’t shatter anything, but rather put out a slow-wave in a cone in front of you. Perhaps it could also let the Hunter gain a movement speed buff for slowing (or killing slowed enemies) only by the dive. I’d also remove the Extra stasis crystals from the touch of winter and rather have the grenades generate slowing field around their paths/AoE. No reason Hunter’s should have proficiency with crystals over Titans. More slow. Titan: Glacial Quake Crystals should shatter themselves after a short amount of time and have larger AoE’s, and slide should be easier to get into while in the super. Idk if it’s a bug but while using it, I can’t seem to slide out of a melee which makes it super hard to shatter crystals in the first place. Maybe make it possible to cancel out of the melee (post hit) into a slide if on the floor. Diamond Lance should create a crystal at the point of impact rather than just being a freeze. It could create a larger crystal if something is killed by the Lance too! The Harvest ability should spawn more crystals given that they can only be used from crystals, or the crystals given should grant a bit more energy to compensate. Cryclasm should stick to only shattering crystals but perhaps gain a bit of resilience for each Crystal shattered by it. I’d also honestly say the Crystal melee should just straight up be the behemoths melee. Or maybe rework the behemoth melee to spawn a couple crystals if you are going along the ground. More crystals. Warlock: Winter’s Wrath is pretty awful in PVE and only slightly better with iceflare bolts. Either have it create large cone-waves of freezing in front of you, or let the bolts have a much larger AoE. It’s so bad at freezing and uses so much energy for the tiny little bursts, it’s laughable. Each of the four bolts should also have have their own autonomy. It would even be better is it short one large projectile at a time. Meanwhile GQ freezes on cast and then freezes a city block with one smash, and SS just slows then freezes anything passing through it. I hate iceflare because you’re just sitting there waiting to freeze the next thing, meanwhile in any other class or even subclass you’d already have the next guy and a whole pack of others dead. I’d say change iceflare bolts to something that functions similarly to the stasis mines from solstice. That was the only time I’ve ever felt actually powerful as a Shadebinder in PVE. Do something with the melee, it’s so slow that a thrall moving slightly to the left causes it to miss. Either speed it up or rework it entirely. I get it’s an instant freeze, but the AoE of the freeze is small. It’s pretty bad rn and doesn’t even hold a Calder before the day 9 (I think) nerfs. Even after it was slightly buffed it ain’t that great. Also, remove the limit to crystals created. Hunters don’t have a limit and neither do Titans. Just have it create one per enemy frozen even if they’re large. Also, I understand the turret is popular, but I’d much prefer it to shoot out one medium sized freezing bolt every few seconds. Warlocks shouldn’t have slowing advantages over Hunters. Warlocks also should have a shatter/movement ability. Since I think shatterdive should only slow targets, the warlocks should only shatter already frozen targets (not crystals). It could shatter frozen targets, but provide extra ability regen/energy for each enemy shattered. I’d imagine it to she similar to Icarus dash, but holding the staff like a true ice Wizard lol. More freezing. P.S: These are just my opinions and you don’t have to agree with me, and I’m not saying I’m right. Y’all are allowed your own opinions on how things should be, this is just my take given what Bungie said about the classes before BL launched. Thanks for reading and I hope you have an amazing day! EDIT: Fixed some stuff 💙💙

21 通の返信While shatterdive isn’t terribly hard to outplay, it genuinely upsets me even when I win an engagement against a shatterdive. Like it’s so boring. Why does everyone immediately try to shatterdive, can we please get into a gun fight?

4 通の返信100% needs a nerf. Way too much damage output. No way should shatterdive kill an enemy out of a super. Any super. I watched a shatterdive Hunter kill a Titan in his bubble. This ability is way overpowered and on top of that, Hunters gain an insane amount of resilience while near a crystal. Broken as hell.

Grimmyにより編集済み: 10/1/2021 6:03:51 AMits just the grenade thats the problem since its like a bomb when triggered to shatter, they can rework and tune it like the others and still make it good, The ability is fine really it has a very small radius so you have to be on or directly near the crystals in order to shatter them it has a 4 second cooldown and works like phoenix dive you need to be off the ground for it to activate. Not only does shatterdive not heal you or protect you but it leaves you open to major punishments. I’m sure anyone with a brain would know the ability is fine they just need to figure out how to tune the grenade or the aspect or fragments then boom peace is restored for the time being. Nerfing the ability again would only make the revenant subclass worthless, they would need to buff the melee for sure and make it deal more damage to compensate for an ability nerf. If shatterdive itself could kill without needing a frozen target or stasis crystal then by all means nerf it but if it requires a set up or a certain status effect to take place then really is it all that broken if its very limited? I know the community crybabies will get their way again but I just think a lot of players on here really need to play a little smarter and be a little smarter. I don’t care if anyone calls me a hunter crutch please save it, I’m not listening to players who can’t put 1 and 2 together.

11 通の返信Everyone is talking about shatterdive like it's everywhere and constantly being used. In the last 3 weeks of trials I think I've been killed by it twice. Now as far as being killed goes, I'm pretty much the expert because I'm awful, AWFUL, in PvP. It seems to me like this is being blown out of proportion. If anyone's going to die to it constantly, it's me. Twice in three weeks. I know I don't play as much PvP as others, but I must have played 50 games in the last 3 weeks, and that means I've only seen it in 4% of my games. Even if you allow for chance that's very low. I got killed by vex a lot more, shoulder charge is a big yep, witherhoard killed me more this week. But shatterdive? Nope.. and no, my lack of deaths to it certainly isn't because I avoided it.. I'm just not good enough. So yeah.. where are all these shatterdives that are killing all of you? You seriously all can't be worse than me! It's just not possible. All seems a bit OTT. Full disclosure.. yes I main a hunter, and in PvP I run stasis, but I have never used shatterdive. No idea if you can check that, but I run different whatsits so I get the 4 aspect slots.

4 通の返信What if they gave shatterdive the same activation as ballistic slam? Must be sprinting to activate it and if you double/triple jump the activation is canceled.

whateverman7により編集済み: 9/29/2021 6:01:58 PMIt has been nerfed, twice already lol. The issue isn't shatterdive, it's the glacier wall nade. The nade forms the wall instantly, so people are throwing and diving at the same time, which gives them kills even though the wall is barely there. A solution to that is something I saw another poster say: add a delay/start up animation to the nade, kinda like how the lightening nade has one. If it took a sec or 2 before the wall was formed, that means no more throwing/diving at the same time. Also would give people a chance to move out the way.

1 返信I think the biggest problem with it is how easy it is to use combined with the fact it can 1 shot any super if those two things were altered I'd be okay with it

5 通の返信Technically is 2 abilities so you are getting kill by a 2 hit combo with 2 different cooldowns. So I am not sure why does it need to be nerfed when all you have to do is step back, side, or don't stand still for it to work.

3 通の返信So arc soul rifts are next then right? And arc Titan slam with the linear actuator perk? I played lots of shatter dive as well. As a hunter slam the crystal first. Titans and warlocks can jump back. It’s an easy counter…. But nope. Warlocks want to camp their rifts and Titans wanna ape. Just how I see it.

2 通の返信COMBATICUSにより編集済み: 9/28/2021 9:32:23 PMCant wait for the new void rework just so it gets nerfed down the road. Which makes bungie put all that work for nothing. I get it some things need adjustments or a slight nerf 100% . But if we gonna cry and complain about every ability or weapon we get, you gotta stop ask what's the point? We are playing a video game, there needs to be certain things between all classes that are really good or op from time to time. I also know that bungie controls the meta, so sooner or later whether it gets nerfed or not, there will be another thing you guys will come here and complain about. And it's funny how it's always pvp that ruins everything. That's why I wish there was a complete separation between the 2. No I dont mean minor tweaks here and there but complete separation so that way w.e goes in crucible it's already adjusted. But I remember bungie mentioning something like "they dont want to completely neuter weapon/ability from pve to pvp because they want the feeling/identity of said ability/weapon to stay relatively the same. Then again here we are, complaining again Which is why I'm not even excited for anything new or rework to old light classes we are getting. Itll just be butchered whether its warlock hunter or titan and everyone will be running the same crap again.

1 返信idk why people complain so much, hunters got 1 good thing, yet warlocks took abilities from hunter and titans. Also you guys are probably the players that camp corners with shotguns and fusions.
