Got my first Eye(s) of Sol this past weekend from trials, got a god roll (No distractions/snap). Been using it, but it just doesn't seem to have the same crispiness of my Shepard's Watch (outlaw/snap), which I used in trials.
Does anybody else have the same thing with other snipers? Should I just use Eye of Sol regardless and make it my main?
Thanks for reading. Feedback and comments are much appreciated

I tried many snipers in the kinetic and energy slot. Eye of Sol has the best feeling for me so i main it and it goes well with most loadout options. But its really up to you a) in which slot you want your sniper in and b) which sniper works/feels for you best.

When it comes to snipers, ONLY 2 traits matter. Snapshot and zoom value. Aim assist/cone size/bullet magnetism is tied to directly to zoom. Higher the zoom, the more sticky it is. Zoom values are anywhere from 35-60, 50 is the best (frozen orbit/succession).

2 通の返信Use whatever works for you my man. A sniper headshot is a sniper headshot, the only thing that matters is what you can best hit them with.

No distractions and Snapshot contradict each each other. Look for Moving target and Snapshot. Helpful hint: You want your sniper to have snapshot obviously but you also as much handling as possible. Fluted Barrel/Arrowhead Break and a Handling MW. Those perks paired with Snapshot makes them feel much better. The Uzume RR4 can get up to 80 handling if it’s rolled right and you use an Adept Handling mod. It’s the closest thing to an old QD/ SS Beloved as you can get.

Snipers are definitely a "feeling" based weapon. Some snipers my be technically better or worse than others, but that probably won't matter from person to person. You might have the exact same roll on one sniper as another, and one of them has better all around stats, but to you, the worse one may feel better in your hands (the sticks, mouse) than the better one. And thus, you'll do generally better with the worse one. It's the reason that you would see snipers such as Eye of Sol used over Beloved (beloved is probably the best crucible legendary sniper stat wise and perk wise to ever grace the destiny franchise). Eye of sol was worse in literally every way compared to Beloved, but people still used it because it felt better to them. That's really all it is

2 通の返信Eye of Sol is just Revoker with a higher zoom scope. I like it mine with Snapshot and Ensemble for using near teammates. 90 RPMs are obviously snappier than 72 but I like the hard-hitting 72 ones, in general.

8 通の返信Snipers are a feeling weapon. I personally have always used a Frozen Orbit if im not using my Chaperone That being said, Eye of Sol has about 10% more zoom than the average "low zoom" scope. It might be what's throwing you off

1 返信Shepherd’s watch has a 50 zoom scope whereas Eye of Sol has 45. Aim assist is going to help more with the 50 zoom. It takes a little while to adjust to the zoom change when you transition from 50 to 45 and vice versa. I’d recommend just sticking to one rather than jumping back and forth for consistency

2 通の返信Go with what you prefer, I've been struggling to find a sniper I've felt confident with, uzume has taken the spot, literally struggle with anything else.

2 通の返信Shepard’s watch must have a lot of aim assist, because I suck at sniping, but when I use Shepard’s watch I suddenly feel like I’m in faze.

3 通の返信Use what feels best. I know long ago Shepard’s watch/drang was the OG load out for me. I need to get one that isn’t sunset haha

It feels a lot like Her Benevolence from D1, which was one of if not my favorite legendaries for a very long time. Other guns in the same archetype? They're good, but I go to Adored first.
