They just need to not use time gated RNG for raid exotics anymore. It’s the least engaging and least compelling reward mechanic there is. Nothing about skill or ability involved at all. No sense of accomplishment. Just three times a week, better luck next time. It’s the worst reward mechanic there is and here we see people defend it, too.

Lol, dont blame Bungie for RNG exotic drops. Its the D2 community/players that should be blamed for that. Why??? Well on the start of D2 year 1, exotics were dropping like candy. Meaning, you can simply get an exotic to drop from completing a patrol or public event. Players didnt like that so they started complaining to Bungie to make exotics a little harder to drop, Bungie took it in and made that change.

Exotic raid weapons should be part of an exotic quest that [i]includes[/i] the raid.

Ya, most people who grind Vex now don't even play the whole raid, typically opting for Atheon CPs and they usually make the strictest LFG posts thus contributing to the toxicity of endgame PvE content. They've felt so burned after watching dozens of carries get Vex on their first go around while they're on what, 40, 50th run and nada? Just my experience alone from playing this game for the last several years, Bungie's RNG heavily favors subpar players and those who don't play as often. In my old clan there were 5 people who rarely played but once or twice a week. They weren't very good either. Yet time and time again, if there was a "Hot item" that everyone wanted, they got it very quickly. Gjallarhorn, got it. Hawkmoon, Got it. Vex, got it. That one exotic armor piece that was busted as hell, got it. That one roll on a weapon that made it borderline OP, got it. Meanwhile, others who played religiously ran Nightfalls, Pvp, raids ad nauseam and got diddly from them. Same in D2. Nightfall weapons, always gets em the first time around. New exotics in lost Sectors, gets them fast. Raid exotics, gets em quickly and usually gets it two or three times afterwards. Then on top of that Bungie has the sense to add "Triumph Seals" and "Titles" that are meant to show off your Skill as a player, yet they lock the titles behind RNG items which no amount of skill can ever overcome. Big flipping joke imo. I honestly prefer the Quest Exootc route for raid exotics. Or at the very least, make it a guaranteed drop if you finish everything for the seal. Heck, make em farmable. I mean, there's people EVEN NOW who have over 120+ looted clears in Deep Stone Crypt and still don't have Eyes of Tomorrow and that gun HAS Drop protection. What the Absolute F**k

I have a clan mate that has done the vault of glass every week on all 3 characters since it was put into the game and hasn't yet gotten it

It’s gotten to the point where I don’t even bother to run the raid in full. I only want to run Atheon because I don’t want to do the full run only to not have Mythoclast drop. I already have my god roll drops of all the raid weapons, and all I need now is Mythoclast.

Even if it’s just RNG, it still sucks. I’ve got over 50 DSC clears and still no Eyes. It’s become a running joke it my clan because other people in my raid group have gotten 3-5. It’s discouraging to never get it to drop and then see someone else get another one.
