I say this because I just saw a YouTube video by a destiny 2 creator praising the new trials changes. During the video he continued to shut out teams and destroy teams, and I am sure his team is not the exception. Then he had the arrogance to talk about how some teams might steal a round win.
Right now it’s new and a lot of casual players are trying trials out, but due to the overly skilled teams destroying those player, they will soon get frustrated and leave for good, then you will be left with only super skilled teams versus super skilled team and it will become a sweat fest. The player base will be to blame for its downfall. No one want to play a game where they can’t even get a kill and constantly lose. And as for solo players going flawless, well those are the players who used to carry people for paid carries.
You can change this by allowing lesser skilled players get an occasional win or kill, but most don’t do this out of sure unsportsmanlike conduct. If you think I am wrong, let me know, otherwise time will tell.

Theyve all been spinning the predetermined narative that Freelance would " split the community" - it was blatantly obvious people wanted freelance to prevent feeding stacks and getting burned out - its a self fulfilling prophecy because of COURSE theyd want to be in freelance if their goal is Loot and not going Flawless. This whole thing is a joke.

2 通の返信Seriously, who gives a rat’s furry backside about Trials? Destiny has completely morphed from what it was 7 years ago. What started out as a PvE Shooter with a little PvP sprinkled in it has been adulterated into a PvP focused -blam!- slap,… with a little PvE sprinkled in to give the cut scene programmers something to do. Let it die.

1 返信Apparently, stacked teams are also purposely backing out when it looks like they're going to face another stack, and purposely matching against solos and duos to increase their odds of winning. Quick fix for that would just be removing the "3/6...4/6" indicator while matchmaking.
-
What if solo-queing ignored your win rate past 7 wins, so even if you have a full 7-win card, if you solo-que you won't immediately be matched against another 7-card who are probably a 3-stack. This way 90% of your games after your 7-wins won't be just feeding those 3-stacks who are about to go to the lighthouse. I don't want to just GIVE solos free loot, but its extremely disheartening for a solo-que to go from a 45% W/L rate below 7 wins to a 25% W/L rate after. Especially since there's very little reward for a solo que as both rank up points and rewards are next to nothing for losses.

2 通の返信I stole a round win by somehow pulling off a 1v3 in the second round of a card against two high end players and their carry. Proceeded to get bagged and corpses killed after that for the rest of the match. Managed to pull off another later in the match but still lost bad. Did I bag or corpse shoot. Nope, but some people with ttv in their gamer tags have fragile egos 😂 But man winning that first 1v3 felt so good. Outplaying those top players with my lowly .9 k/d. Almost worth them getting angry and toxic the rest of the match and the toxic mail after. Actually still makes me laugh 😆

This is why freelance is going ti be a thing. They mentioned it before and are currently working on it. I can't recall when they said to expect it to happen but as far as Trials changing for the better its currently doing better than before and it'll get even better when players no longer have to worry about 3 stacks of already flawless players.

19 通の返信It can happen. But I think Bungie made the right changes to give Trials the best chance of that NOT happening. Trials kept collapsing because Bungie was believing their own spin. That it was for the best-of-the-best, and it was winner take all. Which makes a good soundbite, but was fueling all the problems Bungie couldn’t fix. They gave average players no reason to show up and no reason to invest in the play list. Because all they got week one and week out was a kick in the teeth and a okay experience that was epically unenjoyable. So honest players just stopped playing….so skill creep became skill sprint. Then the dishonest players tried to break the game mode: cheating, account recoveries, low card farming, and all the other toxicity that turned a trickle out the door into a stampede. But now Bungie seems to understand that the game mode will never be healthy if all it offers average players is a slap in the face and A “Get Good”. So now average players have a reason to invest, and access to Trials loot if they are willing to invest. Even better if they create a freelance list.

3 通の返信Trials is Supposed to be end game competitive pvp It's not for everyone and people can play how they want they don't need to have sportsmanlike conduct its a game play to win if you can steamroll the team steamroll them if you can't play to the best that you can and try and get the dub

1 返信I got my first flawless EVER this week and I’m nowhere near a top-tier player. Every other time I’ve tried to go, I got stomped about by some super sweats who hit flawless 10 times a week. Also, if you’re solo queuing in trials, don’t expect to go flawless. It’s the same principle as Apex Legends or Rainbow Six Siege. Coordination will ALWAYS give you an advantage. The matchmaking option is meant for people who just want to go in an get a few engrams, grind rep, and just play the game mode.
-
No middle ground in trials. You have expert skill or you hate yourself. I leaned trials is poison in D1. Showdown is almost trials-like. Two mercy defeats and a tied match defeat. When the challenge is done I plan not to play it again. I can share videos if you have expert skill and want to see it from the “I was stupid to come here” view.

So you want players who are good at the game/work together well as a 3 to purposefully lose some rounds and even matches just because the worse players want it so? Because that is what i understood from the last paragraph and that is honestly pretty pathetic, correct me if i mistook it.
-
14 通の返信Biggest problem is the player base itself not so much the game mode.. it's more that all these new solo players will expect to be able to solo cue flawless often... and that's just not gonna be a thing

25 通の返信Agreed with everything you said except the last paragraph. The only solution is SBMM. Unskilled players, like myself, play other unskilled players. Highly skilled players play other highly skilled players. Then the flawless title might actually mean something. Every other endgame mode in this game has skill levels, from raids (VoG) to Nightfalls. Even lost sectors and public events, though obviously not endgame, have different levels. No reason trials can't either. And yes, I realize Trials is supposed to be 'against the best', only that's not what's happening here anyways. The best players aren't playing the best players, at least not consistently. They get their title by beating up on random made teams of scrubs. Tie the title to the top tier level of Trials, the same way the seal is attached to Grandmasters. But create tiers where folks can play fun, challenging, and competitive (for their skill level) games in this game mode.

4 通の返信Wait a minute, are you seriously saying it's "unsportsmanlike" if the enemy team doesn't give you free kills or rounds?

1 返信You simply can’t have a gamemode where it’s a toss up if randoms will face like competition, complete blue berries or the best players in the game. The only solution is a true ranking system. And make the flawless title go out to the top X %, give cosmetics for each rank etc. you know, a system. It would drive engagement for all levels
-
1 返信Youtube has ruined gaming, of course content creators are loving this, they are the one's that constantly cry about SBMM because they'd have to sweat it out for content, no more dropping 30's in 6v6 for easy content, running around against dudes doing forced catalyst steps.

Simmerにより編集済み: 9/14/2021 5:17:37 PMTrials is in a great position now..... Faster rounds, less camping spawns and hoping for picks, a lot more primary gun fights, 2 stacks carrying randoms to wins, more rewards, flawless tickets meaning something by not resetting your card..... It's actually fun again.
-
Unsportsmanlike? How young are you? Earning a win feels substantially more rewarding. That’s why a lot of people are loving trials now because they got to go earn a flawless on their own. But hey you’d have to have won something on your own merit to understand that. Also you’ve played 5 matches of trials in d2 and won a single match of that 5. How can you have any relevant experience on this subject

i just went Flawless Solo nearly a year later since it came out in Worthy. my first to be accurate. and the majority of my clan Never played Trials even when i had to drag them in, they all have 2-5 Flawless now. since bungie made it now Trials won't run at the same time as IB it'll mitigate the Trials Burn Out. yes time will tell, but right now....Trials is a hit.
