Hello hello!
I’d like ask about you guys’ experience with battle eye anti cheat. Have you encountered any problems recently? I’m asking ‘cause I’ve made some research about this anticheats history with other games and I found myself sorta concerned. Some situations are completely justified, but some have affected rather innocent people due the use of lfgs with strangers that use cheats in pve and pvp but you can’t really tell until it’s too late. It’s supposed to also ban you but for a limited time in those cases, which is very scary nonetheless.
I found some people getting banned for reasons out of their control on console, the place where cheats and hacks are very unlikely, possible but unlikely. All that on this new season with cross play.
Being banned on a game you’ve stablished a legacy and bought the expansions is very heart breaking, I don’t want any of that, not even for my worst enemy.
It would also help me understand this situation further if you tell me you use DIM (destiny item manager) or Ishtar commander. Cause as far as I’m concerned, Bungie advertises that website on the vault menu in game and also Datto made videos about the site and its importance to Destiny itself. It’s just that since it’s a third party I don’t know if Battle eye acknowledges it yet and doesn’t find it as a potencial breach of terms and services for some reason.
So yeah, I’d also invite a Bungie employee to participate on this post, I’d really appreciate to know directly from the source :)
Thank you and have a good day! ^_^

6 通の返信Some days I can play fine, then for no reason, I can't play due to Battle Eye query timeout and code plum, but I have had no help from Bungie or anyone, so I'm very, very upset, to say the least, as this has been 2 weeks with no mention that Bungie is doing anything, very close to asking for a refund and I have already cancelled my preorder. If I knew that they were even working on this or would comment, I would be at least slightly assured and more understanding, but this is ridiculous.

4 通の返信Dim and Ishtar while third party have approval to use the API of the game to move equipment around. If they were an issue these would have been flagged long ago. As for battleeye I’ve had no issues with it, no performance hitches or anything. I agree battleeye needed to occur but most of the players banned on console either cheated or were carried by a cheater in pvp. That or they have a cross saved pc account they claimed they’ve never used which is false since the api shows usage on the pc side. Players can claim they don’t cheat all they want then blame Bungie for the issue later. Tons have claimed that network manipulation or recovs isn’t cheating when it clearly gets them banned in the end.
