High impact auto rifles simply feel too much like garbage to ever warrant their use on controller.
Got a chrysura melo with stability masterwork, dynamic sway and polygonal rifling.
Not the max stability I can get on it, but dumping a ton of points of stability onto a gun to not even make it comfortable to use is getting old.
Time and time again bungie releases a high impact auto and nobody uses them because they are hot garbage due to their recoil.
Cant consistently hit crits because it shakes a lot which means way too much in both game modes (no, this DOES NOT mean that you should adjust its bodyshot damage to make up for this).
Cant do gunfights in crucible because flinch sends it to the moon with its recoil multiplier that I'm now making up, 2 billion.
It has a good amount of range that only feels comfortable to use with the aim assist near the end point where it starts to experience damage fall off.
It's not a matter of skill, it's not a matter of the rolls they have, it's that the weapon type no matter HOW MUCH you spec into making it more stable will still feel like dog -blam!-.
And since bungie loves pumping them out every now and then, typically with a really cool design that won't ever see any use, I'd really appreciate if using one didnt quite literally shoot me in the foot to use.
They reduced pulse rifle recoil across the board, they can reduce auto rifle recoil across the board too considering just how AWFUL some of them can be to use.
I don't care what your stance on auto rifles is, use one and get a feel for how theyve been for YEARS.

The archetype is a stationary zoning tool. Dynamic sway and stability helps but the kicker for this archetype has alway been staying still and shooting which alot of players will never do because they strafe alot (at least on pc console people to me just tbag crouch) which isn't even taking advantage of the bonus accuracy. The archetype can kill but the issue is what it has to go up against and thats often times a handcannon which can easily destroy a stationary target and Bungie reneged on them having a range weakness. Can be deadly at range but the users have to stay still and choose between either maximum stability (dynamic sway and stability mitigation) or maximum accuracy while stationary and at a range(firmly planted and a crap ton of aa mods) can't have both.

1 返信The recoil on Chrysura Melo is outrageous. I received one this morning with power level 1323 and Stability 14. Later tonight I will infuse some other weapon with the Chrysura.

2 通の返信hate n payneにより編集済み: 9/9/2021 7:22:19 PMIt is the sights. We need a choice in sights. Those heavy sights are terrible for slow firing weapons. I mean look at Cold Denial and the Messenger. Slow firing weapons with clean sights but they wreck.

1 返信Farm for an Age Old Bond with Zen Moment and Stability. Then use Target Adjuster for PVP. I'm not the greatest PVP player by any means but this combo tends to be sticky.

Doesn’t help that they require consistent headshots to win in PvP. So if they’re jumping all over the place, their Range drop offs too soon, can’t induce much flinch and every time you get shot it dramatically decreases your accuracy? These things need more than just better Stability.

Auto rifles are garbage anyway, on the rare occasion they get a buff, if it becomes competitive to the meta they get nerfed right back. There rubbish in pvp and playing legend or higher in nightfall are redundant

2 通の返信More stability, slightly more impact, better perks. Nobody wants -blam!- dragonfly on an auto rifle.. it's like having hip fire grip on a sniper.

4 通の返信The changes they made to vex could be put onto them too honestly. Like the rpm change and at least some kind of damage increase with a fair amount of stability. I’ve had god rolled ones in my vault for ages and I’ve mever had even the slightest bit of motivation to touch them.

6 通の返信My biggest conundrum playing on pc is all the people running very little stability and near max range and still having what appears to be less visual recoil and less recoil in general.

5 通の返信Surprised to hear you using anything other than Scathelocke, now that it’s back on the menu

1 返信I think 360s and 450s should receive an RPM buff along with a damage buff, especially for 450s.
