This is one of the absolute worst aspects of the game. Not being lucky automatically sets your overall progress back by a week. That's it. Thank you for your time, but you get nothing for it.
I absolutely hate the pinnacle grind and am sick and tired of it. I have earned max power again and again and again and.... (across 3 characters)
The grind aspects of the game are simply not fun enough to have this much of replay value.
I do enjoy the other challenging high level content so I have to do this absolute chore in order to be allowed to enjoy it.
It is nothing else than an empty & artificial time-sink mechanic.
I would enjoy new seasons more if I did not have to target and grind all of the OLD stuff in order to progress my character. This is simply a wierd and backwards system all together.
I get that bungie wants to have some target to engage players, but honestly, people who play A LOT will do it no matter this system, and people who play a little will still play a little regardless of this artificial grind target or not. It is simply just a random kick in the face to those of us who wants to hang around and play end-game content with our friends...
IF 'pinnacle' should remain, it should be rewarding a pinnacle token. Those tokens can then be traded for random slot specific gear (on any character). Alternatively, it should be targeted to ALWAYS drop where you are the lowest atm.
The season before last I went the entire season without getting max power on my class item for my hunter. The entire season. 100s of chances for it to drop. But it did not.

I’ve managed to get to 1329 base power and 1343 in two weeks. I personally do not find it fun. The biggest problem other than duplicates is we are basically doing the same activities over and over. The system needs revamped big time. This is why I only played 50 days last season. As soon as the seasonal stuff is done this season I’ll be done until the new dungeons drop in December.

1 返信I think pinnacles dropping always where you are weakest would be a really nice touch. There is enough bad RNG in this game. Bungie could show that they really care about their player base with this small change.

I am so -blam!- sick of this stupid pinnacle grind my last 6 drops were kinetic. 2 drops Vog 3 iron banner bounty and empire hunt. That's after I 3 pinnacle drops in a row were helmet and 3 other where heavy. So stupid -blam!- you bunghole! -blam!- -blam!- -blam!- you bungalow

4 通の返信It’s literally only the second week of the season. I don’t get why you kids think every new power jump needs to be a speedrun like your favorite youtubers/streamers do.

2 通の返信Here’s an idea: Only have 10 pinnacle levels in total and once you finish those 10 levels, you don’t need to do more unless a major DLC is released. Seriously, besides locking out content, why does leveling each season exist? We just had access to GMs, Master VoG, and difficult Lost Sectors 8 days ago. Why is our access taken away when we’re going to do the same thing we did at the start of last season and the season before that?

2 通の返信It's another one of those seasons isn't it? Play for power level, not the content and stop after hitting max. Season Pass be damned.

1 返信It’s fine as it is, If you doing pinnacles every week it should take around a month and a half, less in you use three characters and that’s including duplicates. I’ve level 1325 after a single week and haven’t done much this week due to playing IB
